There was also that one episode where a trainer said to Ash that he wants to set up his own gym in the future. So gyms are like mcdonalds... Where you need to meet cerain requirements etc to run it and buy stuff for the gym from one source so they would all look legit, get the permit to run it. There might be like 15 gyms but you only need at least 8 badges to get to the pokemon league. So it would be like: you want to be the leader of a Dark type gym, you fill in some documents to the league, they see how strong your pokemon are in a battle, if you have enough of them or something and then they will let you be the leader and design your badge. They probably all have some kind of chips inside so the league would see if they are all real and they are only distributed by the league itself to all gyms. I also think that there could be for example 30 badges per gym and if they ran out of them the gym is closed for the season.

Hey guys, take it from me, learn to cook food. It's easier, cheaper and doesn't use 10 different pouches of plastic per box like "Hello Fresh" does. Just start with cooking eggs, then rice. Once you're able to cook those, try pan grilling vegetables. Pasta is easier than you think and you don't have to be a "gourmet chef" to read ingredients in recipes. Also a lot of meat is easier to cook than you think, avoid chicken if You're a newer cook but you can't go wrong with ground burger! I'm not trying to diss Dobbs or anything it's just hello fresh is a horrible company. They mistreat their workers and contribute to a lot of the plastic pollution in our world. Cooking is intimidating at first but it's definitely easy after you learn basics, not to mention it's something you need to learn to do in order to survive in life.

I think the reason we don't see Pokemon cards in the anime is a similar reason to why we never saw the text on Yugioh cards in the dub of that anime. To have text on cards would be considered advertising which is not allowed in the US.
