Eufy Floodlight Cam E340 No Junction Box Install

Today, I'll show you how to easily install the Eufy Floodlight Camera without needing to have a junction box. This floodlight Cam is designed to also be installed directly in a wall or ceiling and you just need a plug in cable to complete the setup. Eufy is not selling the plug in wiring accessory yet so I'll show you what to get instead.

As added protection after you complete the install, I would recommend adding some silicone caulking between the wall and the electrical box to create a barrier from the weather 👍

Hello . Had this installed for a month . During the day it’s very very sensitive to every passing car even when I adjusted down sensitivity and set up activity zones . After dark it’s tracking and lights up when motion detected but doesn’t record anything . Can you please help ? I have a ticket to eufy and still waiting

i have the previous one from eufy but my experience is not so good and the PIR kind of sucks too. is this camera better than reolink? pls advice and if yes, which reolink is better one.

Thanks for the videos. I need a flood light security camera like this one but I think I need 2 cameras do to the width of my building. The surveillance area is also a busy sidewalk with busy foot traffic- so I am wondering if in your opinion would 2 of these work in unison and would this type of 360 degree camera perhaps not be the best option. Thanks and any recommendations for a better solution, I need a Flood Light Security Camera System.

Might be an ignorant question 😅 but if you strip the outlet side of the extension cord, how do you connect it to the plug? Do I need a second cable?

If I’m not mistaken I think he cut off the female end, then used the male end to plug into the wall socket. Otherwise, he would end up with the problem you mentioned 😆

S340 cannot be set with amazon alexa if you have another Eufy E340 installed with amazon alexa. Eufy softwares are lousy.

I want to run the wire from inside my garage plug on the ceiling. Can I run the 16 gauge wire through the whole in the center of the plug and connect the wires instead of removing the tabs and running down the side?

My junction box has 3 black wires and 3 white wires, no ground. can I just add ground connecting to the junction box? Thanks!

So does the camera come with that plastic mounting plate? That’s the piece I need as I want to mount to the wall and wire it but I’d rather plug it in, inside my garage then wire it direct to to electrical panel. It’s so much easier.

I drilled a hole through the wall from the inside of my garage and ran the extension cord to the outside. I plan to mount the eufy mounting bracket directly over that hole so the cord enters from its rear and is not exposed. Would I need a junction box in this case or would the mounting bracket alone be up to code? Thank you.

I’m pretty sure running an extension cord through a wall is not up to code. You have to get an electrician place a junction box outside which he has to run Romex inside the wall.

It is always stationary. You can program it to pan and tilt in a pattern or follow once it sees activity.

I did it and it works. Ran the cable along the garage wall to a receptacle. Used a good quality 25 foot extension cord.
