This was excellent! I watched non stop the whole thing. The bad part was the 30 ads that kept interrupting. It's a bit too technically complicated for me to comprehend in one viewing but will be enormously helpful if i can aquire the tools to do this. My last recordings were on a Roland 8 track which i never adequately figured out. Thanks so much for making and posting this video! You're an incredible musician!

This was fantastic! Thank you! I did watch in one sitting from beginning to end. My biggest take away here was actually less is more. I have so many plugins going on with all my tracks and buses and then on the master bus. I guess I just need to figure out a way to just let go of all of the saturation plugins and eqs and strips and so forth and focus more on the sound going in than what I'm doing in Reaper. Also good point about adding delay and reverb AFTER you record your solo.

You are awesome dude, you come across so cool with out the ego or attitude. Haven't watched this yet(booked Mark for later) but if it is like your other videos it will cover the basics for beginner to the advanced very succinctly

@@EugeValovirta230V I have been playing guitar and recording since I was 11, started on a radio shack cassette recorder in the 70s - if you used a 45 min or bigger tape. Between the time the song started to when it ended , the pitch would drift so we added a motor control and have been recording ever since. I have watched this video now and it very good, straight forward. Very intelligently explained - no bs.....and they call us a bunch of "dumb guitar players" ( I have a BS in electronics)- I am very inspired to do better, I learned some great new things. Thank you!
