When "Bring me to Life" was used in the Daredevil film I really thought Evanescence would catch fire and she would become a global sensation but it never really happened. Amy is a star and always will be because she has stayed true to who she is and her music hasn't changed. I've been a fan of hers for 10 years and can't wait to see what she does next.

I was once in love with a very lost soul. I felt it was my calling, my destiny, to be a nest of safety. To be a way of light to this person who had grown up surrounded by so much darkness. Similar situation here, I mourned and cried a lot through this song. Its a bitter lesson to learn, that you cannot be somebodies calling, destiny or safe nest. This can only be done by the other person, you can be some support of course, but you cannot heal or take away the hurt. This is not what love is for. If theres too much darkness, your love will drag you down into the other ones hell.

I personally feel that evanescence’s other songs are underrated. I mean it’s not that she isn’t recognized but I feel that people only focus mostly on “Bring Me Back To Life” which is a good song by its own, but at the end it’s like.... Cmon, this dark angel has plenty more to offer

She has a way of bringing the tears when they otherwise refuse to fall. She has a way with pulling out the emotions so they don’t tear me apart from within. My heart IS broken. I feel so bad for anyone who has to deal with a mental disorder. I just want to tell all of you out there who do suffer as I do , you are NOT alone, you’re never alone! I love you all so much and together we can get through this. We can make it! While the whole world doesn’t understand I’m here to tell you that I DO!! I’ve had addictions and I’ve been through total and utter hell, and I love every last one of you out there, but still I feel alone sometimes, even though I know I’m not the only one who goes through these disorders. I wish there was a way I could help people like me, I wish there was a way I could advocate , but I don’t really know where to start? For me, it runs in my family, and NO it is NOT a curse like these religious zealots out here put it out to be, it’s a true chemical imbalance!! They should know better!! Thank you , Aimee , for what you said . That is really beautiful . I don't have a mental disorder or addictions , but , I love a man who has them . I love him with all of my heart and my soul . He has to be away for a while , while he goes through a program for alcohol addiction , but , I love him so much . I will love him forever , cherish him , and treasure him , always . I will wait for him . I love him forever , I will not leave him , or give up on him . Real love doesn't give up and doesn't quit . My sweetheart is an alcoholic , an unbeliever , in fact , he says he is an atheist , but , he isn't really , and he is homeless , and has a mental illness . I am a Christian . I have always liked a lot of different types of music , and music has always been a very big part of my life , since I was 4 or 5 years old . It's part of me . I have always enjoyed singing . In fact , a lot of people , including my sweetheart , says that I sound a lot like Amy Lee and Adele . I sing on Fridays , and I've been doing this regularly for almost 2 1/2 years . It's very rewarding . It brings enjoyment to myself and others . And I'm glad . Watching videos and listening to the music that me and my sweetheart both like , keeps me close to him , that , and looking at the 2 photos of him that I have , every day . I keep them in a book , that's called , "Thank You , My Love". He is My Love , and my sweetheart . We have a very deep and special connection with each other . I can't even count how many times that I would be thinking about my sweetheart , and then , the phone would ring , like 10 or 15 minutes later , and it would be him , and I knew it was him , right away , even before I saw his phone number !! I sense when he is going to call me . It is absolutely amazing . I will never forget what it is like to be cuddling in this beautiful man's arms . It's like God gave me the ability to see the beauty in the very deepest part of his heart . My sweetheart knows that he has a very sweet , romantic , loving , and passionate Christian woman who loves him very deeply , and always will . We have a few differences , but , we have many more things in common , despite that . I've told him that I'm thankful to God for him , every day . He believes me , because it's true . I know that he senses the very deep and beautiful love that I have for him . I know that me and him , my sweetheart , My Love , will be able to endure this difficult time of not being able to be with each other , physically , because of this deep and powerful emotional and mental connection that we have together . It is very real , very deep and powerful , and we will flourish and thrive , because God is for us , not against us . God is pleased with this relationship that we have together . He sees the sincerity in our hearts . I will enjoy writing love letters to the man that I love , and sending him a few more photos of me . I've given him many love letters and photos of me , already , even when we were seeing each other all the time . God knew what He was doing . This is the song that really speaks to my heart . I love my sweetheart , My Love , so much , and he loves me , too . We both miss each other a lot . I am so thankful that I have this CD , now . I got it last week . It's great !!! I love it . This is my favorite song on it . For me , this song is beautiful , passionate , and painful , all at the same time , because , I love my sweetheart so much . When you are really and truly deeply in love , it's not just a deep physical ache in the deepest part of your heart , but , in the very deepest part of your soul , and who you really are inside yourself . To be completely and fully , deeply in love with someone is very powerful , and overwhelming , beautiful , and amazing , passionate and painful , all at the same time . This love that I have for my sweetheart is keeping me strong , and making me stronger all the time . Yesterday , I found a beautiful card for him , when he is able to receive letters , I will give it to him . It says , "Love", in red letters , with a red heart , and it says , "Love", in many different languages . Inside the card , it says , "You are everything wonderful to me". It's perfect . It is what truly is in my heart for him . It's like he is the other half of my heart . I want to feel his heartbeat next to my own . I sing with great passion , too . It's who I am . I am a true romantic , and a rock chick at the same time . My sweetheart likes the newest Batman movies , too , with Christian Bale and Katie Holmes . I watched "Batman Begins", just a few days ago . It was great !!! When Bruce Wayne and Rachel were kissing , I was thinking , "Yes , that's me and my sweetheart , right there". He is such a joy and a delight to me . I will watch the next 2 movies in the series , very soon . This is one of many ways that I keep my sweetheart close to my heart .

I'm glad that I could be encouraging and inspiring . It is such a beautiful gift to be able to express myself in writing and singing . I have joy and pain in my heart , but , I have hope , too . I love my sweetheart so much , and I miss him so much . I'm so thankful for him , and for music . I sing my heart out , because I sing with everything that is within me . I can't hold back anything . Some people ask me why do I waste my time with this guy ? It is because I love him with all of my heart and all of my soul , and my sweetheart is more than worthy to be loved and cherished and treasured . I love him completely and fully . I really do . He cries , because , no woman has ever really loved him , before me . I am eagerly waiting for his next letter to me . In the meantime , I enjoy music like Evanescence , Korn , Alice in Chains , Audioslave , etc. , and thinking of my sweetheart . I've been watching some really cool concerts , right here on KZbin , lately , of the first 3 bands I just mentioned . Oh wow !!!! They are great !!! I told my sweetheart that when he gets out of rehabilitation , he and I will make our own new dreams , together . I want to spend the rest of my life with this beautiful man .

As someone going through depression on medication working to heal and develop healthy relationships, this song provides some relief. In the day to day, you wouldn’t be able to tell I have depression, because I feel like society frowns upon those who are completely honest about their pain on a daily basis. It isn’t to say, I don’t see the good and at times find joy in the little things and don’t surround myself with loving and accepting people. Though sometimes I have to admit, inside my heart, it’s still broken because I opened my heart in the past and it was crushed. I heal a bit each day forgetting and memory fades, as the pain halves each time, but the hurt doesn’t completely erase itself completely because the heart remembers. And this song gives me permission be honest with myself admitting that my heart hurts, beneath my laughter and smiles. It allows me to admit I need healing and accept the entirety of my emotional being at that moment which brings some respite. Picking and choosing only the good parts of us can deny us from loving ourselves completely.
