Jason - what a great idea especially on GM & the process of development and campaign development. I plan to join and be a supporter.

It kinda sounds like this might be the beginning of The Gap. That could be really interesting.

Sounds like a very interesting setting. Also I can see why people joke about Nonat1 being your son.

Sounds really cool ! As an amateur GM with 3rd party content for pathfinder I always hope that foundry vtt support will be available for awesome things like that. Digital maps are great to have but I guess many like me not doing this professionally will most often pick a ready solution - ie one that easily importable to foundry with all the walls, doors already there, is that type of integration something you think you would be doing at some point ?

all of this looks great, penumbrist with a shadow familiar seems really fun

Creators take note. This is how you build a world. Start with the starting location and expand outwards. Five deities is also perfect. You don't need a bunch of deities for every divine aspect you can think of - have less gods with broader domains and players will be more invested in the ones you have, rather then picking one that aligns with their character and not bothering with the rest because there are just too many.

Hi Jason - thanks for the hardwork. Do you envision Adventure Paths that see Eventide events evolve its history? As for the kickstarter I would love to back it, more concerned about this taking several years. Just excited I guess.
@JasonBulmahn2 жыл бұрын
I think the story will evolve and unfold through adventures and future supplements. As for a kickstarter, I have no plans to do one UNLESS I have the entire manuscript in hand, in which case the crowdfunding would just be to help pay for the printing and distribution. I am not interested in making folks wait years for material. That is why the Patreon material is available right now!

Yo! Jason, shoutout; love your game mastering and your very helpful Tabletop Tutorial videos, thank you very much for those! I very much enjoy your work. For Eventide - If the story is half as good as your storytelling in the Band of Bravos, or the Oblivion Oath online stream - I know it will be great! I like the seemingly more grim setting you are crafting here, I'd like to see this expand into an alternate setting to Golarion we could explore. I know I would love to explore it's unique locations and themes. A little upset that certain ancestries dropped a smokebomb, but I'm hopeful this can be developed and explored in the setting and story itself. Maybe players could even save or discover some eventually? Hopefully player characters can challenge and impact this darker setting to fight back the seemingly hopeless future! Cheers. P.S. One-shot Curse of Ettercap Abbey - When? Where can I buy it?

Glad to here you are liking it! The thing I want folks to remember is that just about every choice is made for a reason that ties into the overall story in some way. It might not be a direct link, but its been a long chain of events to get to this point. I am excited for folks to slowly unravel the secret.

On another note, do you have any tips you could share about creating a TTRPG setting? I'm making my own core rulebook for a new magic system i developed, but would like to know if there any pitfalls or experiences that you have learned over the years that i should be aware of?
@danitenotes2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jason! I may have missed it but are you planning to sell the finalized products via Pathfinder Infinite or a different method? Just curious.
@JasonBulmahn2 жыл бұрын
I doubt I will put the main products up on Infinite, but they will be up on DriveThru. I may put some select, world neutral content, up on Infinite at some point, but I want to make sure I keep ownership of the world itself.
@danitenotes2 жыл бұрын
@@JasonBulmahn Understood. But if they'll be on Drivethru that sounds great. I'm not much of a patreon guy but I'd love to have finished content available for purchase so keep us updated as progress continues. Keep up the good work!

If the Sun didn’t show up for three weeks, why is the world named after still water? Would the inhabitants be more panicked by the absence of their star?
@JasonBulmahn2 жыл бұрын
Eventide means "Evening" or "The final moments of a period of time". Although scholars have come to call the event Eventide, that is not what folks in the world call the place

Is the goal of the Eventide setting to transition PF2e into a less-than-high fantasy setting?
@JacksonOwex2 жыл бұрын
I am going to guess NO! This is just a personal project that Jason has been working on, quite possibly for YEARS and YEARS, pretty much EVERY GM who plays TTRPGs long enough starts working on their own worlds/settings!
@christopherpelech55092 жыл бұрын
Why is primal magic rare? Instead of ban. Doesn't rare imply a PC could play it with gm permission? Also no archetypes? Archetypes seem to be a crucial part of pf2e (even though in core multiclass archetypes where the only ones)
@JasonBulmahn2 жыл бұрын
Its rare because it did once exist in the world, but now it is gone. There could still be relics from that age that hold a flicker of power... As for archetypes, those are coming (they are one of the last content pieces I need to wrap up the complete player's guide). There will, of course, be a penumbrist multiclass archetype.

3 weeks of sun doing a no show do not create such consequences, more to the point, they have no consequences at all. Sorry, the premise does not work
