Imo, the worst thing that happened on the set of Friday the 13th was using a real snake during one scene and actually cutting it in half while the owner of the snake stood there and cried, unaware that they were going to be killing it. Brandon Lee was killed not by a piece of metal from the dummy round, but because the dummy round was made improperly and the primer was never removed. The primer in a cartridge is basically a tiny explosive that when struck by the firing pin will ignite the gunpowder. Since the dummy round had a primer and no powder, when it was fired, the primer caused the bullet itself to be fired and get lodged in the barrel of the gun. It wasn’t just a piece of metal, it was an actual bullet

A "professionally trained" Lion does not exist, even if your raise a Cub from birth, it is still wild. Felines are some of the hardest animals to domesticate, and some would even say that house cats are only partially domesticated.
@alec572 ай бұрын
Clearly felines aren't hard to domesticate when they are probably #2 on the list of top domesticated animals. But okay. And what makes them "partially" domesticated? That's not even a real phrase. You're either domesticated, or you aren't. Theres no inbetween.
@Nameless-ny8nk2 ай бұрын
@@alec57CATS are on the top domesticated animals, not felines, big difference beetween a domesticated cat wich many people around the world adopt as house pets, and lions, tigers, or cougars, wich almost no one keeps inside their house. Also partially domesticated or semi-domesticated is a real term used to talk about a lot more species than just felines, those are animals that have been altered because of their socializartion with humans but do not differ enough from their wild counterparts to be considered a different species, like asian elephants, they are frequently tamed from the wild, but that's still a literal elephant and very different from a house pet or fam animal/livestock, reindeer are another example of animals that mostly live in the wild but can be tamed.

The amount of preventable accidents throughout the history of film is so frustrating and I truly don’t understand why these people just don’t do their literal jobs. You want to do all these crazy stunts for your film? Then you need to go through the various safety protocols for the cast and crew. Also, for water stunts, I feel like using swimmers - and specifically synchronized swimmers - because we go through training that makes us able to be underwater for longer than normal while being physically active at the same time. I know of a girl that was able to swim multiple 25s (single laps) underwater without ever having to come up for air 😳 1:38:26 It’s kinda crazy that an accident on a previous set contributed to one almost happening on another; Like a chain of unfortunate events. Yes, an actor asked to do something dangerous has the right to refuse but, depending on the bankability & his spot on the totem pole of importance, an actor can be dubbed "hard to work with", " causes shooting/time/money" problems on set, etc. Word of mouth can ruin a small time actor's career, just like it can in any job. And you're totally right. The producer/director/studio should never ask or allow a dangerous situation to continue, but money talks. That's why most of these nasty people, like JOHN LANDIS, got away with it. When you have money or are making money for someone/some corporation with money, you can get away with literal murder.

with the twilight zone they literally told them not to use the copter and not drop it too low, it was too dangerous with the winds and too many obstacles on set to hit. and they didn’t listen. and 3 people were killed because of it, the parents of the children being on set to witness this horrendous tragedy.
