Angie’s death really pissed me off. It was the most avoidable trap scenario. Considering how experienced Marcus Banks was, you’d think he would have been more cautious. If these traps were made by John Kramer himself, we as an audience can accept that. But, Schenk is not a Jigsaw apprentice. There was never any hint of him having engineering experience, which would make it believable that be built those traps. Schenk reached this point of his career training to be a detective, and he also mastered the art of creating torture traps? Amanda, Hoffman, Dr Gordon, and Logan all worked directly under Jigsaw’s eye. So anything built or planned by them is far more believable.

So, you didnt understand the movie then. This was the entire point, none of these people were supposed to survive. This isnt a jigsaw movie it is a saw movie, as in a movie in the saw universe. The killer is a jigsaw copycat, the victims were only given the illusion of choice so that all the traps seemed more like jigsaw traps, but as the movie tells us, he really just wanted them all to die for revenge.

One should never count a franchise leech as a legit entry. Therefore this is never a spin off nor the 9th entry. As it isnt actually apart of the franchise. To call it otherwise would mean advocating having the HBO Velma series be deemed an actual entry of the Scooby Doo franchise as both that and Spiral are on equal footing for being considered legit entries. And btws, yes, that does mean Saw "X" isnt the 10th entry but the actual 9th entry; as the last legit entry before Saw "X" was the 8th entry.

well i think it’s more like zeke trying to play into some sort of sentimental thing between them like since they have this bond, both the fake one (they were partners but it was all one sided and fake and means to an end for william) and the real one of zeke being there for william when he watched his father get shot and actually speak out about it, and so i think that line was to read more as zeke saying “this isn’t you, you can stop this. let my father go, you’re not jigsaw”

oh and william is doing all this for revenge but he does seem to really appreciate john kramer’s thinking and the concept behind giving tests like this. he spoke so highly about the spiral as a symbol for change and there was a reverence to how william credited these ideals to john when he explained it to zeke (though i see people saying these traps weren’t ever really fair and therefore he’s not really giving tests, id argue jigsaw’s weren’t always fair either or at least there was unfairness in the victims and the reasons he decided on. there’s this whole thing in the franchise with john kramer’s hypocrisy so idk if that rules out william actually being genuinely inspired by jigsaw and not just a name or reason to shield himself with) idk why people are like this with william when he was given a great backstory that could drive someone to such extents. in the case of spiral, you have to consider the environment and the world william grew up in and his connection with zeke. he came to know zeke under such a terrible event in his life and he clearly latched on to what zeke represents within the metropolitan police. he grew up under the reign of jigsaw and jigsaw apprentices or at least in that universe it was something society as a whole would probably speak about often and it’s not a big jump to think that maybe william would also latch on to such concepts especially with the earnestness kramer speaks about his traps and cherishing life, to william it’s made clear at a young age that the metro police are not cherishing the lives they’re supposed to protect and the community they’re supposed to serve, and then you can see how he could make all these connections, instantly setting his sights on the perfect targets. his plan also deals with getting close to zeke who he believes is the one other person who sees what he sees and who may be the only one willing to join his cause, this detail further highlights how william might actually truly believe in what jigsaw represents. while it may seem excessive to infiltrate the police just to become someone’s partner, it shows his passion to his plan and his ideals that he would go through all that for the opportunity to ask zeke to join forces and fix this department to live up to the ideals he and jigsaw believe in (i am sorry about how long my reply turned out to be but I appreciate if anyone actually read it, I do want to understand why others view spiral like just this heartless story, i understand it may not feel exactly like saw but it is not exactly intended to replicate it, I liked their concept of delving into this world the saw universe is set in and the sort of people that grew up within that and them acknowledging that maybe someone like william could appear from the depths of it and then deciding to tell that story. would love to hear any thoughts from others on anything i touched on or your own perspective on things, it’s interesting to see our differing takes on aspects of the same movie)

The subtitles for the puppet indicate “Pigsaw” as the speaker. I don’t know if that’s in the movie or done by Cinemasins, but if it’s in the movie I feel that pun deserves a sin off.

Angie's death was the most irritating to me because it proved that Schenk really was out to just kill cops, and the whole Jigsaw thing was iust to tie this into the Saw universe. Her death was not a test. If she had succeeded, she likely would have died before getting help anyways, either from bleeding out, or depending on where she severed her spinal cord, could have lost the ability to breathe on her own.

So Sin 106 should be what was Schenks final plan exactly? He escapes in the elevator and then potentially leaves the building? This has always bugged me because every Saw film ends with a door closing on a potential living victim who will die therefore preserving Jigsaw's secret at who he really is. But Schenk is alive and well along with Zeke who could easily tell the police who did all this thereby at some point arresting him. Unless Schenk has a partner helping him escape his @$$ should be arrested within a day at least 😂
