The "Korean serial killer" Adam's referring to didn't live in Japan. He was Korea's first serial killer , Lee Choon-Jae. Obviously Japan had it's share of serial killers, but they were all home grown. Adam is correct in that the police both local and nationwide had no idea how to solve the murders,and at one point 30,000 different suspects had been detained or interrogated. The cops beat some guy into confessing and he served 19&1/2 years in prison when DNA evidence and a confession finally revealed the truth some time in 2021,about 30 years after the first murder.

Just for clarity and accuracy: The United States produces the majority of the animated pornography in the world, but Anime hentai is consumed largely in Asian countries. CGI porn is predominantly produced in America for Americans, but it is gaining popularity everywhere. suicide rates in South Korea are the highest on Earth, but it's definitely not because of hentai. Koreans wouldn't really watch Japanese content. If they watch foreign content it's Thai, or American, or Chinese. suicide rates in asian countries are high because of a phenomenon known as "Behavioral Sink". it's sort of like in economics when things tend towards the mean. The cost of having a family on one income, plus all other life expenses, makes it prohibitive for men to even try to date, let alone start a family. The combination of poor work/life balance, economics, regulation, inflation, taxes, and a culture that emphasizes that shame and embarrassment are the worst things you can go through means people just don't bother dating. This isn't exclusively to asian countries. It's happening in India, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, France, and in America. It's literally happening in every developed nation. The only people who don't have difficulty having casual sex are conventionally attractive people. But that has been true through all of human history. There's just an enormous population now so it stands out more. 2 or 3 generations ago, it was easy to have kids by accident (which was the reason the population boomed). It was an economic environment that made owning property, holding a stable career for decades, low cost of living. Now people have better stuff and better quality of life, but only because of technology, the cost of living has increased drastically. It means people have to be more cautious and take fewer risks. There's also the big factor of women having careers. women are conditioned to "be their own person" and be "self-reliant" (despite the fact they are almost all still very dependent on government assistance- which is ultimately assistance from men- except now men gain no benefit from the transaction- men are merely tax cows for government to redistribute wealth to women). But while they 'earn' equal pay as men, the total quantity of value produced is not proportionate to the increased number of earners. To put it simply, women cause hyper-inflation by simply being paid the same as a man for being less productive. It's nobody's fault (except for government). Men have to work harder for less and less and less, and women are just resentful because of the hidden cost they pay for having to work for less and less and less. This resentment passes over government and is aimed at men instead. So dating becomes adversarial between men and women. This is all by design. Malthusian social engineering to inflict misery on the populace. It's a global slavery and sadism.
