Skywalker family history Anakin is a slave with his Mom Shmi owned by everyones fav stereotype Watto Watto loses Anakin but keep Shmi Shmi is bought and freed by Cliegg Lars, who lives with his son from a previous marriage named Owen, and Owen's gf Beru Shmi is kidnapped by sand people, when Lars and 30 other farmers go out looking for her only 4 survive (including Cliegg who lost a leg and couldn't go looking again) Anakin returned looking for Shmi since he dreamed of her suffering, meets Lars (his step father) Owen (his step brother) and Beru (his sister in law I guess) Anakin hunts down and finds Shmi (who dies in his arms) and kills the desert nomad stereotypes Cliegg later dies once Anakin leaves and Owen and Beru run the farm Years later Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives with newborn Luke Skywalker, he tells Owen and Beru who he is and they agree to raise him, removing the graves of Shmi and Lars they begin raising him under the idea that his father was a navigator on a spice freightor. (which is a reference to Dune and if you want a laugh google what a Dune Navigator looks like and think that Owen told Luke for 19 years that his dad looked like that.) any questions?
