I’m making a second comment to say a few theories 1. The black hole kinda looks like the type of thing that could maybe summon the biolizard 2 I think that disc thing is a replacement for pyramid cave as the rocket to get up to the arc 3. I saw a theory that since toms family’s been cops for 50 years what if toms grandfather was the gun soldier who killed Maria and shadow finds that out so that’s why toms on the ground screaming for sonic and shadows all like “I did what i had to” Tom’s absolutely dead. Also maybe Tom’s a gun soldier now cuz he learns his grandfather was

when sonic says "what did you do" in that angry voice, in the backround its day and theres a city car, much like this scene in 5:36 (I think theyre the exact locations), I dont know what to make of it but I thought it would be good to point that out. and that black hole, if you slow down the video the precise frame the explosion that starts the black hole happens, you will notice its a ring portal, so this most be a paradox of some sort for the rings, maybe 2 rings were thrown at the same place or inside it.

City escape has a playset for this movie and sonic movie 2 was sonic the hedgehog 2& knuckles because tails wasn't introduced in sonic 3 super sonic appears in sonic 2 for the first time and ofc the death egg robot is in from sonic 2

I hope they still keep shadow's death/ sacrifice in the end, it's such an important scene, and I'm not sure if they will keep it in the movie. They can always bring him back in the next movie, maybe a shadow movie or show based off Sonic heroes and Shadow the hedgehog
