1 Corinthians 9:23-27. (NIV) "23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. The Need for Self-Discipline 24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." God calls us to train. Like soldiers, they train hard so that they may fight, perhaps, the battle. In the same way, we Christians ought to train so that, like verse 27 talks about preaching, we may be ready to preach at any time and to fight the spiritual battle that we're facing. One may ask, "How do we train as Christians?" it's simply to mature and grow in our faith, growing in wisdom through God's word. Use your body for the glory of God. ✝️ Numbers 6:24-26. (NKJV) 24 “The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; 26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’🙏❤️ Amen.✝️

Ephesians 6:10-18 The Armor of God 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Calisthenics also has isolation exercises as well. It isn’t just compounds. Also if I was going to do the workout prescribed in the video I would add in pike push ups / handstand push ups since you aren’t directly working your shoulders, dips and push ups will incorporate them to some extent but it wouldn’t be enough for you to get stronger and bigger shoulders.
@yellowdude_co
@yellowdude_co 24 күн бұрын
Thanks for contributing to the discussion 🙂 Your advice is on point. Adding pike push-ups or handstand push-ups is indeed an excellent way to target the shoulders more directly in a calisthenics routine. However, these moves are generally considered intermediate to advanced movements in calisthenics. Beginners might get discouraged by directly jumping onto harder moves and failing at them. Thanks for the idea-I will make a video for intermediate and advanced calisthenics routines in the future.

Pushing and pulling movements use different muscles. If you are struggling with pull-ups that means you need to work on your pulling strength. You can start with band rows, move up to assisted pull-ups, and slowly work your way up to pull-ups.
