UPDATE: We were not contacted by the renters this time. They had completely cleaned the car out - no personal belongings at all by the time we got there. We suspect they were anticipating it would be towed away. The rental company sent someone to pick it up from the lot a few days later.

Are they so stupid that they don’t realise there’s a tracker on the car, to see where it’s going and being taken to. Often stolen cars are stolen to order, and they are loaded into containers to be shipped over to the continent, and,they are found before they leave the country because they have a tracker on. The same with RV and camper vans, and especially tractors.

Someone suggested an inside job, and I'd say there is a chance of that. Maybe the rental agent is getting a cut (they're probably doing something like running drugs, same hotel, what are the odds if not trafficking).

I commented on the first rental car part 1. Again , if these folks are trying to steal these vehicles why are the police Not involved ? So bizarre they are in the same hotel and I don't believe its a coincidence. There is a reason why they keep driving from Miami to that hotel. A lot more going on here.

I'm glad the ladies in the Explorer are okay. Kind of looking forward to Part 3 on the rental vehicle. Was waiting for them to run out after you again and hear them say Oh not you again...so you could say....Oh hey it's you again. Thought you were returning the rental. People are so entitled now a days it drives me crazy. Yes you paid to use the rental vehicle but that doesn't mean it's yours. Still have a written contract with fine print. 🤦

So all the baloney about speaking to the rental agent the first time around and them having "explained" it all to the agency with all the drama in part #1 was a lie. Talk about actions speaking louder than words - this crooked couple couldn't have screamed it any louder. Rentals should post their pics and put this couple on a national "No Hire List". We don't see why the airlines should have all the fun banning folks from flying exclusively. You two stay safe. Love your work. Good one!

Like I posted in the teaser, "wait, they're at it again?" OK, same folks (although female changed name), same type of vehicle that's another rental, same motel/hotel in the G'Burg area, same problem with not turning in rental. OK, wonder if allegedly BMWs are being fenced or other stuff? Velly Intellesting, as old Artie Johnson's character used to say on Laugh-In. Thank goodness those ladies did not end up in that creek. A couple of them looked like they might have been physically unable to handle that situation had it gotten bad. As always Jeff & Kristen, great job. "We appreciate ya!"

I thought that from the first video, but no way now. They wouldn't have been holed up, yet again in TN (same hotel even). They've made this trip many many times I'm guessing, moving meth or illegal cash/guns.

yup, that's the idea. Steal a car, drive it to another country, and sell it. It used to be a very common thing in Europe until EU police and justice agencies started working together and now there is a continent wide network keeping track of stolen vehicles running from Spain to the Baltic states to Greece to Sweden. Reduced car theft in the Netherlands, Germany, and France (among others) by a huge percentage, prior cars were stolen there, driven over the Poland or the Czech republic, then either got their VINs blanked out or they were disassembled and shipped to Belorussia or Russia where they were sold.

I don’t know if I have said this before but if you have a BMW Xdrive car it will roll from the rear , don’t go far or fast but in a repo situation it is nice to get clear and then spend the 2-3 minutes throwing dollies, with less worry about the debtor coming out and making a scene. Great work moving fast and getting gone with it .

On GTOger's site, the drivers often use this type of tow truck to approach the vehicle from the side and lift the entire car off the ground, so they can reposition it and get a better angle on the tires.

If they didn't know they had to honour the contract the first time or the second time they definitely know it this time. That's why the car was cleaned out and abandoned. If I were to hazard a guess, it’s either drugs, cash or trafficking of illegals. The fact that they abandoned the vehicle, means that they weren’t concerned about the vehicle itself, so one could presume that the vehicle is merely a means to an end.

Well i hope that the car rental CO. Has a photo of them two and send it out to all of their recntal places for that CO. So if they try to reant a auto from them and denie to let them reant from them. If I was that rental company i would put there pictures up on the wall at the front desk where you go to rent the autos at an put a sign under the picture don't ever rent out a auto to these people
