Hopefully you will also get all of the attic and roof rafters with the eviction liquid as well? R.I.P. wood worms! You will not be missed! 😂
@thecornerhouseproject8 ай бұрын
Hopefully yes, although the roof timbers look to be OK. They will still get their smoking time again though, they can't hide forever. Most of the old timber has gone from the house, just some parts remain but have be drowned in "The Liquid" and more will happen too, as well as the smoke. Thanks again for binge watching and commenting :-)

I was half expecting you to break out a flame thrower there. :) That should sort it out for a while. Just keep an eye out for it reappearing. Typically woodword starts out in a little spot and then spreads, so if you catch it at the start, dig out the flame thrower, that should do the trick.

Good job👍- took us 3 treatments to get rid of the woodworm completely over 3 seasons. The house has certainly brightened up since you took the first partition down👍
@thecornerhouseproject Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yeah we are under no illusion they are gone or dead due to their life cycle and are expecting a good few repeats of the two days. Knowing yours have gone gives us hope though so thanks for commenting :-) Yeah, the light is lovely in that one room, we will be so torn with deciding what to do with the space. Keep it one, or split it differently. We will see.

Hopefully that will keep them out of the new wood. treat all new wood before you bring it in. Maybe set up a spot in one of the outbuildings for treating new wood so you don't have to leave the house after spraying other than the big once a year treatment. Love those smoke bombs!! Bye Bye bugs. You can hoover them up now. I was shocked at how many creepy crawlies we had after I bombed and they came crawling out to die. That breakfast looked amazing! Love seeing your beautiful faces
@thecornerhouseproject Жыл бұрын
Well....today that's what we have been doing...emptying the one outbuilding to make space for a workshop of sorts so that we can have a separate place to work rather than struggling with it all happening in the house lol Those smoke bombs are amazing! We will be getting some more to do upstairs as well...so we get right into the loft space! That breakfast WAS amazing! 😋 😘

Strangely therapeutic watching Dawn spray. And the smoke bombs have brought on my post covid nose, I can just smell burning now! Hopefully you'll be rid in a couple of treatments.

Well done amigos, must be nearly time for a Wheelo visit!? Just to point out where you went wrong 😂😂😂 Sorry, I couldn't resist, doing great work. Just dont get in any way complacent. Who doesn't love a good smoking?
@thecornerhouseproject Жыл бұрын
We loved the good smoking to find the dead woodworm beetles on the floor. Not as many as woodlouse, but still a good count of better of dead than alive beetles. You know where the door is mate and advising on a hotel or our local B&B isn't an issue.

Most things fabric are in vacuumed packs bags in the boxes, bedding, towels, clothing etc and a majority of the boxes contain ornaments. There is no residue left from the smoke and even with the large companies that put a tent around your house, they don't require everyday items to be removed or sealed.
@coletteellerton1840 Жыл бұрын
How often can you release them smoke bombs and are they expensive
@thecornerhouseproject Жыл бұрын
To be honest, I'm not sure how often... but I would think whenever you feel like it... it's more the inconvenience (moving food and household bits and pieces and pets) that might stop you doing them on a regular basis other than overdosing on toxic stuff. The big ones were roughly €27 each and the medium ones were €14 each. So not super cheap, but they certainly worked on any bug that had the misfortune of being in here at the time. We will probably do a few more upstairs to get up into the loft space too.
@nimuehmoon872 Жыл бұрын
..just curious...why are you living like this?.....
@thecornerhouseproject Жыл бұрын
I am guessing you mean living on what is in affect a building site and sleeping in a tent? Sadly we don't have enough money to rent accommodation whilst we are doing the work on the house and spending money on the house. We could buy a second / third hand caravan and try and find somewhere on the land to put it and just hope the caravan doesn't leak and everything works as it should. The tent is warm, dry and comfortable and neither of us need mod cons to live. Camping is something we are used to doing and we enjoy it. We have a washing machine, tumble dryer and shower which is more than a lot of people have. It may look dreadful on the camera but it looks a lot worse than it really is. It is no hardship for us for a few months. Sometimes getting the things you want come at a price and we are more than happy to live off grid, out of boxes and move stuff around when needed to get what we want and in effect paying that price. Ask us again come December, if we are still sleeping the tent, and my answer may be completely different lol.
