I am a woman. PUA's are not very sophisticated in my view. On Tinder, women can operate in packs. We had group swipes, 4 of us at one time. We had heard a lot about there being players and PUAs and not very nice guys on Tinder. So we tried to weed them out. When we could, we all deliberately matched w the same guys to see how he would approach different women. We found profiles by what other women had said, like a friend of a friend who had screen shot message etc. Tinder is fun and sometimes fun is morally questionable. But if you're getting played, then you can play a little too I guess? The PUA's had the same lines, same tone, same attitude. It was tedious. And sometimes you could tell he had literally just copied something out a book or online etc. So you hit the nail on the head with "learning 100 words metaphor". But it is very interesting to see how women and men they try to base their techniques on evo psych. We all just want to connect with each other really. Albeit at times in very casual or superficial ways.

The fact that PUA do encounter success applying evo psych is a huge validation of your findings. You mentioned women reacting to the tactics they employ, but the fact is that those efforts are hampered by feminism, which reject the stereotypes that science validades. So men who embrace the "tactics" have the edge. An interesting counter example of what I am saying (i.e., women seeking to accept their nature and maximize what they can get from males) is the site "hooking up smart". Very good content, but seems to have died in 2018. Maybe women, specially young ones, were not ready to accept what they are up against.

I think he has a good look & voice for video, but I have to admit I'm a bit off-put by the corny background & the reading everything from a script. But I guess it's better than the alternative - which is no videos at all.

He is a sound academic and is in relationship/s he is.open about, also.he is a parent with a somewhat nontraditional lifestyle he has posted videos with this info so.I am not violating his privacy. He is one of a handful.of very well known and regarded evolutionary psychologists. His book:" The Mating Mind" has a great review of the history of research on mate selection in the scientific literature..maybe of interest only to biologists or.psychologists or other academics. One of his major contributions is the idea that art,,literature, verbal ability, along with the Machaivellian mind evolved to maximize the auality.of mate selection for THESE feautures, sort of sexual arms race of human internal embellishments of the mind to maximize attractiveness to appeal to woen since THEY do the selecting of mating partners.
