Yeah sometimes I wonder that too I was told my fertility was too low to get pregnant but sometimes women get pregnant when they re marry because if you find someone stable with money sometimes they have better genes and healthier sperm. A lady is currently being sued by her deceased ex-boyfriend brothers over a million dollar pension that he left behind after he passed away. Mind you, she was completely clueless that she was left any money after 20 years, and she was never married to him. They dated for years, broke up, and married other people. Twenty plus years later, he died but never took the ex-girlfriend name off as a beneficiary, so legally, she is the only person entitled to the money. His brothers are upset that their brother remarried but never took the time or made it a priority to put everything in his wife name after being married to her for over 20 years. They're fighting the ex-girlfriend from 20 years ago because they want a piece of the pie. I'm guessing his wife assumed that he prioritized his family and personal affairs, but apparently he didn't.

Well, as someone who has worked with some trusts (QPRT, Dynasty, Grantor, Charitable, etc.) it's important to make the distinction between the trustee and the beneficiary. The trustee can only use the assets of the trust in ways that benefit the beneficiary (as redundant as it sounds). For example, a trustee can authorize funds to be deposited into the beneficiary's account, a trustee can authorize money to be invested to earn money for the beneficiary, but a trustee can't take money out of the trust for themselves. Maybe the trust pays some fees to the lawyer for acting as trustee, but even then, it would have to be reasonable. So I don't know, could someone explain to me why a lawyer would kill a client who has made him/her a trustee, and how the lawyer would manage to transfer the trust's assets to him/herself and not the beneficiary?

I read the story. the ex/husband had a vasectomy. the baby that the side chick turned wife is carrying is not his. He took his own life...probably because he realized he messed up. I wouldn't give her of the baby a thing. UNLESS a DNA test proves that the baby is his. Then, I would create a trust for the child that he/she can access for college.

Maybe he left the girlfriend all the money because he knew his wife’s unborn child was not his. If he was with the other woman for 20 years and she never got pregnant by him maybe he knows he’s infertile. And that’s why he left all of his money to the girlfriend and not his wife and unborn child. Because he knows that that unborn child is not his. I would give the child a trust fund of $100,000 and be done with it. Because remember, she has a husband and child now herself. Give the unborn child a trust fund and go and live your life.

Women dangerously assume that as his wife, she automatically gets it or at least 1/2, but if he has a will, or he left another name as the beneficiary to plans, she’s screwed. She is only entitled to anything that her name is on. If her name wasn’t on the bank account or any titles, and he has a will specifying other beneficiaries, then all bets are off. The woman with the Queen earrings was right. Make sure your name is on the titles and bank accounts, make sure you’re a beneficiary of insurance plans and retirement accounts, and make sure you know what’s in the will. Now she can go to court and contest the will, and more than likely, the judge will find that she’s entitled to get something as his wife, but now she has to pay attorneys.

I was going to give the money or even split it 50/50 until I heard wife was his mistress. In my country she (ex) can be sued for child support cause she got the money or they could take the money back & give it to the kid. You have to take care of you dependants according to law.
