Doki holding onto her past identity all comes from capturing the colossal spike in activity she had at that time. ALL eyes were on her and she wanted to keep that going to really build on her subs before the spike dies down. She pretty much explained as much in multiple streams where she describes how she needed to do every convention and sponsorship while her viewership was monsterous, and a part of that strategy was pissing all over Niji without explicitly saying it. Look at how many memes were created from these decisions. When she gained back the fan-name, her opening with the original song, and her model... she's monsterously smart and was a force to be reckoned with... Niji severely underestimated her and suppressed her when in reality, she could've been huge.

Yeah it was all marketing. She redid her pre-stream animation to be the same as well, with the same exact song (because it was a public domain song) and same exact dance. It's not a menhera inability to let go of the past. It's deliberately picking back up from where she left off.

Yeah that pretty much describes it. It's one thing that she's a great entertainer, but in the vtuber sphere very few people, if any, understand the social media game better than she does. Niji was unknowingly passing her high pitch after high pitch, and she slammed each of them over the net. Even more so than how she capitalized on the situation content-wise, how she handled the PR part of the scandal was what amazed me. By all means, even though those who have followed vtubing closely throughout 2023 knew how shady things were, for the laymen her termination by itself was definitely two sided and could have easily turned into Zaion 2.0. But she ended up handling things so well that not only did she win on the court of public opinion, but her termination essentially became a precedent setting scandal, not only against Nijisanji but against corporate vtubing as a whole. The average vtuber fan today is far more skeptical towards agencies and more willing to side with the talents than a year or two ago.

She is a natural comedian that likes to mess with people but she is malicious or toxic about it like others in the FPS community can be It was in fact a Overwatch? friend that told her she had the perfect personality to be a vTuber .......he was right And her niche during Pandemic Lockdown was she was OG bridge between vTubing audience and Esports Tournament audience and is why normally Esports and Gaming Sponsers are sponsoring vTubers(it all started with Selen trolling XQC and everyone hearing her laugh everytime she killed him).......its why she had Esports ccv on her redebut.....it was return of the vTuber Queen of Esports and she's been in every Tournament and EventvNijisanji hasnt muscled with threats ever since (that 2.7k ccv is usually her 2nd stream she's just tabbing before bed, Games average 6.7k ccv, and tournaments average 14k-18ccv depending on tournament but can peak to Esports numbers)

couple notes: 1. there's one anime expo video that went around that was the most fair comparison between the booths. when i went, the hyte booth had a lot of stuff set up where people had a reason to stay for a bit and look around, whereas the niji booth didn't have anything or anyone to interact with. (i had to factory reset my phone last month, so i lost nearly all my anime expo pictures) 2. doki revealed the cost of her new model reveal being around $80k iirc. which involved the outfit, a video that was basically a mini game demo, fully voiced by a bunch of her friends, and an original song recorded by an orchestra. she makes a lot of money, but also puts a lot of it back into projects. (discussed either earlier this week or last week) 3. she explained one of the big reasons she wanted a similar image from the same mama was that she wanted to uplift her mama by becoming huge, and she felt that she disappointed her mama by getting terminated. paraphrased. (discussed in either a members' stream or the bts of the new model debut)

Now that i think about the hyte situation. It wouldn't make sense for hyte to cancel their elira case. It would have to be Niji that cancelled the contract because they don't want to associate with dokibird. So basically. Doki can force niji to cancel corporate collabs at will by also getting a collab with the same companies. It affects the talents more but she could be really selective and target particular talents in Niji in a wordless way to out her bullies.

While a clever line of thought, hyte dropped niji within three days of Selens termination, iirc. Well before they partnered up with doki for the expo. The most likely explanation is that they saw niji self report harassment/bullying, said keeping with them is a brand/pr risk, saw how much attention doki had, and took advantage of that.

15:26 Nijisanji main event at AnEx was that Peacock Theater Concert with those 2 booths just required placeholders the same way anyone buying Theater Tickets were required to pay for a AnEx day pass before they could even buy Theater tickets That extra $80 plus a lot of Convention goers getting Ligma-beta-1 or Pi-Kapa-3 is probably why there was 30,000 online concert tickets sold vs only 1,400 of 4000 seats sold for Peacock Theater EN side had Statues and JP side had Figurines for their online store Their Q1 report shows the Theater Cancelation and tickdt refunds cost them $56k U.S.(8 million Yen!) They made $4 million U.S(563 million yen) from the 30,000 online tickets though More importantly most of those 1400 Concert ticket holders were complaining about already being there for the Concert with no intention of going to the convention hall(was there for concert not AmEx) so any influx of randos in the booths weren't NijisistersNijisisters

Hey Depressed Nousagi not sure if anyone will see this but can't just leave this information I know hanging without spreading awareness about it. There is this vtuber called FalterXV that done some heinous stuff (to put it in the nicest way possible) and I suggest looking into this guy. More people should know about this issue and it's criminal that this feller has been under the radar as long as they have been. With a following like yours, maybe it can shed more light on a guy like this.
