For the record, I still have my original Hulk-a-Mania barbel and plastic coated concrete weights in the garage. It was my first weight set and started me on the path to weightlifting. As a result, I eventually found competitive weightlifting in high school where I won a state championship. After high school, I got into olympic style weightlifting competing only locally and then began coaching. Of the athletes I've coached, 2 attended the OTC in Colorado and completed internationally. However hokey Hulk-a-Mania was, it was a gateway for a lot of young boys in the 80s to get into fitness and weight training. Loved the commentary as usual.

Im your neighbor, you must be concussed cuz what really happened was you went outside and the heel mailman put the boots to you. He beat you down hard and then delivered his special finisher the package piledriver. As he went to pin you for the 3, you kicked out and with clenched fists and shook your head vigorously. I was like, aww shit, here we go. I started getting amped up like you as i watched in awe. You literally hulked up, the mailman fires a punch at you, you didn't register it all. The mailman hits even harder with a second strike but your blood was pumping and you were invincible. The mailman hits a double axe handle to your back but you turned suddenly and pointed at him sternly and said "YOUUUUUUU!" The mailman freaked out, he threw a punch but you blocked it, i can hear what seemed like thousands of fans screaming boom, boom, boom with each strike you threw at the mailman. You tossed him into the fence and you whipped in so gard he returnsd back to you and you put up a big boot to his face and the mailman went flat to his back rocked by the power of you! You looked around, i think you heard the same screams i was hearing, you cupped your hand to your ear as if you were listening to the acreaming maniacs going wild for the inevitable, your signature move baby! You ran to the fence, bounced off, ran back and went what seemed to be 6ft into the air and came across with a big leg drop, you covered the mailman, 1..2...3! God it was fantastic!😅

I worked at Howard Johnson in Revere Massachusetts back in the 80's. A couple of pro wrestlers stayed there and had no concerns leaving behind syringes and bottles of equipose and sustanon. The equipose looked like it was preloaded in a harpoon. Sustanon was just a small vial. Other than that there rooms were actually quite clean. I did housekeeping.

When I was a kid, I had that Hulk workout set. It came with a poster of exercises that were actually good things to do. He hung it on the wall in the basement across from our bench and weights. Ah memories. Damn I'm old.

@valspals91885 ай бұрын
@@akaunderdog4223 Nope. I don't want to look yoked, but muscles grow. I do more strength and power lifting. I'm fit, and look like an average dude in a tee. I can lift and move what I need to, more so than these young dudes I come across regularly, and my lady thinks I'm sexy. What more could I want?

Unfortunately I think that was a translation error from 80’s to English. What he meant was a handful of T3 (Tylenol with codeine) and washed them down with a miller.

Hulk Hogan was/is the Man. Watching these 80's video of Hulk just shows how, massively, popular he was, and how food/work out science; really wasn't developed. Heads up: His pre-wresling/post-wrestling drink; Hulk Hogan now sales. It's called - Real American Beer!

Thing about Hogan is he never actually had that super-inflated/shrinkwrapped bodybuilder look like Lex Luger or Ultimate Warrior or Scott Steiner. Obviously he used steroids, but he was also a naturally huge dude, and he was never walking around at a sub-10% bodyfat shredded to the gills. Of course, fewer pro wrestlers actually ever looked like that than people realize, because they're athletes and need to be able to move, not just to look good.
@davidradtke1607 ай бұрын
A little fat helps cushion and prevent injury too. Most wrestlers are just big, only a few were ever really shredded.
@hugejackedman34477 ай бұрын
The vast majority of those guys were juiced like a grapefruit but didn't care about being lean.. Warrior and Luger on the other had were actually trying to become bodybuilders at one point. I think Sting was too. Scott Steiner just did it because he could! 🤣
