The weirdest thing is that the Tsaesi could either be: 1.) Actually snake people 2.) Humans who were called snakes due to their underhanded nature, considering a tsaeci advisor had Reman III assassinated.
@skelitonking1177 жыл бұрын
Glynn Tarrant basically both; If some Akiviri potentates (The actual Tsaesi people not the akiviri humans) stayed in Tameriel after the betrayal of their human forces to Reman Cyrodil there would have been more art depicting Snake people in the empire and they wouldn’t have been able to breed with Imperials which we know they did do as some Noble colovian and Nibenian noble families chose to retain their Akiviri last names as almost a badge of pride. Also ESO is set during the time of the interregnum (a period between rulers) when the empire was governed tyrannically by Said potentates, one of whom you can meet but he looks like a basic imperial in game. I would imagine that they’re just humanoids with scale accents along their skin; they’re vampiric as well so maybe the Akiviri men or imperials just called them Snakes because they’re deceitful but we can’t really say; However it is said that the Tsaeci “devoured” the race of men on Akivir which means 2 things; They either legitimately ate all the “humans on their island” which would mean we wouldn’t be able to find any of them but humanoids are extremely prevalent in their society and made up a large majority according to Imperial records, although they did only encounter them during war time which adds credence to the other possibility, That they absorbed the culture and population of the humans of Akivir into their own however even that possibility could lend credence to them being Humanoid because it would have been noticeable that human soldiers were being led into battle by giant snakes that could talk and all Akiviri weapons and armour would only fit and be wielded by humanoids. That last one is a bit of a stretch but you can see where i’m coming from.

I personally believe that they're basically just ES's version of Japanese people; and the snake stuff all comes from propaganda, folklore, perhaps armour design, ("golden scales") and maybe the shape of their eyes. That last one wouldn't fly as an official explanation these days, but maybe back when the in-game books were first written (by the devs IRL) it was intended as a bit of fictional racism to compare the two like that. I dunno.

There's still so many issues left unresolved in Tamriel. Will the Empire survive or crumble? Will the Stormcloaks ever pull their heads out of their rear-ends? What's up with the Aldmeri ? You just know they must be planning something. There's dozens of other big issues still going on in Tamriel. And will those poor lizard folk in Blackmarsh EVER get cable TV? Maybe by Elder Scrolls 14 or 15 we can get to Akivir?

Like the OP said, there needs to be one that AT LEAST VISITS (Goes) to Akivir. It doesn't have to be the whole game. Otherwise, there's no reason that an Elder Scrolls title couldn't be set entirely in Akivir. The series isn't called The Tamriel Adventures. It's called The Elder Scrolls. The Elder Scrolls could contain any number of prophecies involving the other continents of Nirn. In fact, I think it would be downright sinful for them to NOT at least create a short spin-off, non-RPG series of games that detail and explore the exterior forces of Tamriel. Pocket realms of Oblivion, other continents, lesser races, history of the more inexplicable sides of Nirn lore such as a more detailed and comprehensive lore for the Dwemer that a newer fan could absorb. Something like a series of linear story focused games with minimalist combat like a run of the mill hack and slash. Nothing fancy, just more lore. Or it could be a tell-tale series. I don't have the end all be all answer to that one.

One of the more esoteric, non-canonical concepts is that the continents represent different kalpas, aeons in cyclical time. Yokuda represents the previous kalpa, and is thus merely an archipelago instead of a full continent as it sunk. Tamriel represents the present, which is why (seemingly) everything comes to Tamriel. Akavir represents the future, the next kalpa, and Tosh Raka might "prepare" to become the next iteration of the Dragon God of Time. At least metaphorically, of course Akavir isn't literally in the future, but it does represent it: wild, untamed, mysterious or outright unknowable.

And we haven't heard from him since then. Someone needs to check on him. I would be so pissed if we found his body in some random ice cave. Considering what happened in TES 4 Oblivion, where the protagonist, the hero of Kvaatch (spoiler alert) becomes sheogorath, I think this is highly possible. But I really want to know what happens to the Dragonborn. Maybe we can find a book in TES 6. But for some reason, I think the Dragonborn disappears completely, along with the greybeards and high hrothgar.

I really do hope at some point, maybe in the Elder Scrolls VII, that it takes place on Akavir. Play a character who's part of an expedition fleet to Akavir and get to explore the whole continent. Probably more likely to get an Elder Scrolls game set in Tamriel during an Akaviri invasion, but I'd like that, just to see all the Akaviri races in action, even if it's not in their homeland.
@hazzmati7 жыл бұрын

meh I don;t consider online a true elder scrolls game. It's an mmo which means its story is butchered to suit the multiplayer aspect of it.
@jjakkal_7 жыл бұрын
Hazzmati its still Canon dont get me wrong it isnt that much of a game compared to other ES games but its still part of the lore
@hazzmati7 жыл бұрын
Yeah ofc you're right, I'm aware it's based on some events from the 2nd age (didn't read up on it so I don't know the details) so it technically is but they probably streamlined and changed it or whatever so it can fit in the mmo scale. Like how in WoW ''adventurers'' do all the work in the story which is not something I like. But if you look at the regular ES games you can see a pattern where each game always takes after the other with skyrim making the biggest time jump ever. Akarvir would be cool but I just meant they probably won't be going back in time to cover those events (either the empire invasion of akavir or the akaviri invasion of tamriel). Seeing how the thalmor are the big bad in the story now we won't be getting any new nemesis soon. Anyway talking about that I really hope they will announce the ES game soon it's been well over 6 years now....

I rather doubt that any ES game in the near future will explore Akavir in depth. There are simply too many areas in Tamriel that have not yet been fully fleshed out in it's own game that seem like they would be higher priority. Akavir might have the exotic appeal, but no more than the Black Marshes or Kashyyk or even Valenwood which have not been much used yet, so it seems like reaching for Akavir for the thematic value is a lot of risk for little gain. You don't want to risk alienating fans who are already so heavily invested into the lor of Tamriel by transporting them into what feels like an isolated spinoff area. That said, I could totally see an ES game with a main story revolving around a new Akaviri invasion and involve traveling to a few select Akavir locations as part of resolving that plot. Lots of good opportunities for politics, intrigues and an epic story there.

Joey Cash I haven't really said anything about what I want (I find the Akavir related lore pretty interresting even if it's quite vague and underdeveloped at this point). I just said I don't find it very likely. I've wanted an Elder Scrolls set in Akavir ever since I first read about it. BGS may not want to jump right into a game set so far from anything many fans of the series know but there's a few ways around that. Both continents must still be very mysterious to each other but like it was mentioned in the video the inhabitants of Tamriel and Akavir have had many interactions in the past. With Tosh Raka and the Ka Po' Tun in particular planning to invade. That could be a fantastic main threat for ES6 and if it does take place in Hammerfell and/or High Rock that they're in the western most part of the continent probably means they're succeeding which would make it that much more interesting. Then either a full game or at least an expansion to 6 could be set somewhere in Akavir. Considering the significance of Yokuda to the Redguards and Hammerfell I'd hope a revived version of that continent could heavily feature in the game too though.

Thank about it. The Tang Mo, despite being peaceful, still were able to “repel” (not hide or run away) constant attacks from their neighbors. The same nieghtbors put Tameriel’s armies to its knees in one way or another The species on this continent, whether through the environment, different kind of weapons/spells or just genetically superior beings, they are on another level from the species of Tameriel. I mean, the Tsaesi were able to cut through Skyrim and reach Cyrodal and that wasnt even a full force I bet. Not even the AD have been able to do something like that, before or after the Great War. They were also strong and numourous enough to wipe out all the dragons on their continent. The snow demons are likely giants that can use frost magic. Giants that can use magic would be a huge threat, espeically if they are intelligent like the main species we know. As for what they were looking for, it was probably something similar to Lokan’s Heart. And for the tiger species, I doubt their ruler is as strong as Alduin but I bet he is stronger than Parthunaax. And it is likely the his people know shouts if they have life spans long enough. So it may even be the concept of shouts are common on Akavir. IMO, the Tsaesi were using shouts to control the weather. I can only think of magic that powerful in that category being able to do that unless another concept is the gathering of several high class mages together to combine their magic to use magic on a whole other level (which could be why they were pressing for time). Otherwise, shouts are just generic. They are suppose to represent some of the most powerful magics and we know shouts, despite taking decades for normal species to learn, can still be learned. And since dragons came from there, who is to say the concept of “Dragonborn” is different or the powers of it are somehow divided among the species but on a weaker scale. There is also the fact there is entirely new magic.

Yeah why is there such a huge focus on Tamriel when they have this huge world that also seems so interesting

I would LOVE Akavir to be the location of ES 6, but I know Bethesda will never give us it.

Nords are one of the most naturally gifted people in all of Tamriel in martial arts , second only to Redguards. *RANDOM ARMY FROM AKAVIR LANDS AND RAPES THEM GOING DOWN SOUTH TO CYRODIIL* Nords: am I a joke to you?

Maybe the Akavir humans were cursed by a deadra to turn into these Tsaeci, we have seen it before with the Orcs and Dark elves.

It's weird that more people from Tamriel travelled troughout Oblivion or simply out of Nirn, than visited Akavirii. It's like if more Americans went to Moon than to Asia.

Akavir is like Asia of Nirn, and should not be underestimate.

Bethesda is wise. Had you guys thought about the infinite possibilities in terms of background story that Bethesda has for continue producing "Elder Scrolls"??? If Bethesda shows everything, nothing more has to be shown! But they didn't it. I can bet with 100% certain that one day we gonna play at Akavir. When? I don't know! Even Tamriel wasn't fully explored! This makes me very excited about the future of the franchise.

Most of the information about the invasion is wrong. The Emperor abandoned his city fleeing to the port of Septima along the way two Tsaie armies destroyed the army the Emperor was in killing the Emperor. Two soldiers made it off the Continent to report about the failed Invasion. The Ice Giants invaded Morrowind but were drowned by the Tribunal when they gave the people the ability to breathe underwater at the time. But, playing games since Daggerfall. May have missed some of the info. But, most of the info is wrong. Just remake it plz. Edit: The Emperor wasn't killed in the city.
