Just a note, MS DOS wasnt the same thing as MSX. You kept saying MSDOS and showing an MSX machine. MS DOS was the operating system for the PC, not a standalone computer line (MSX)

Sega Genesis was the first version of The Terminator I was introduced to, I still recall being so surprised at how short the game was after beating it one weekend when I rented it from my local video store. Oh memories... haha! thank you for the video!

T2:Judgement Day for Sega was my first introduction to terminator. I rented it, and couldn’t get passed the 3rd stage. But it stuck with me. Rented again then couldn’t get passed level 5. After that I got addicted, I eventually bought the game and beat it. It’s a grueling hard game with 1 life and no continues. But I loved how faithful it was when I finally saw the movie, and was surprised at the stuff they threw in to make it something more. That started my love for the terminator movies and even beat it again about 2 weeks ago. I’m still a die hard terminator fan.

NEW SUBSCRIBER: as far as your question about which one of these games introduced me to the terminator games. Honestly, it was this video I wasn’t cool enough to grow up in the area of playing these type of games on the NES however, I’m definitely going to find a way to play them now. Love the channel. Glad I’m a new subscriber.

Betheada managed to make a Terminator game feel like an RPG at times. Think about, people. You have to find weapons, money for weapons, find a mode of transportation, and you have to dispatch a foe. It's basically a Terminator RPG, although not really, you still have a overarching objective, so it isn't really giving the player complete freedom unlike in something like Skyrim or Fallout 4, where you can do random missions tonlevel up in the open world of Skyrim or Post-War Boston.

8:52 "The Terminator had already gone through." ~Sergeant Kyle Reese, Tech-Com, DN-38416 12:23 It even accurately depicts James Cameron's favorite color scheme! 13:00 'Journey to Silius' and 'Crystalis' both have great soundtracks. 13:30 The Sega CD one. Ever since I was an '80s kid in the '80s, I thought Michael Biehn was the epitome of rad. 14:39 How and why did that strike land on the left side of the Rev-9's face and not the right side? 16:24 Why are Terminators wearing '90s clothing in 2029? Did they forget about the T-102 portrayed by the late Franco Columbu in the first movie? He wore the "rag" type of clothing that most people in that time and place wore who weren't Resistance or Tech-Com members. 19:24 Another classic with a great soundtrack. 21:21 Arnie should be shooting left-handed there to be more authentic. The reason he did that in the movie is because most motorcycles have right-handed controls. There was at least one mil-spec motorcycle that was made (during World War II) with left-handed controls so a right-hander could fire a weapon while driving. Everyone was trained to shoot right-handed back then. 25:01 Either the Sega CD one or the newer arcade lightgun game that has a lightgun with a grenade launcher.

The computer version of T-2 (with the fighting, driving & puzzle segments), was my first introduction to the series. You also missed out on a Sega Master System version of The Terminator. I absolutely loved Terminator Resistance. I was surprised by how much I did. I remember seeing the negativity about it before it was released because the company that released it did that awful Rambo game not long before.

Wow, this is the first KZbin video I've watched which has ever talked about the original 'Terminator' game on the PC. I had that and played it to death! Interestingly, it actually came with a 'graphic violence warning' here in the UK due to the 'end scenes' when you potentially kill Sarah or Reece. Also, it was a rare game that you could 'complete' in less than five minutes if you were lucky enough to run into your one main opponent (i.e. the T-800 or Reece) straight away and get a good shot on them. Personally, I just had fun going into gun stores and seeing how many times I could click on 'steal weapon' before the shop owner called the police (and if you took out enough police officers, the army was called in - they were tough). Cheers! Great video - thanks for the mega member-berries!

The Sega CD version ruled my snow days off from school. I would beat The Terminator, play outside, make hot coco and hop over to the Snes and play Super Empire Strikes Back because you know...snow. I would rent the other T1 games, but none of them could compare to the Sega CD game. I couldn't even beat the first level of the Genesis version lol. I think there was one for Game gear and master system too, but not positive.

@soulweaponx664410 ай бұрын
I sincerely hope that a developer for these current gen consoles are watching. We got a decent Terminator re up of an older game, but it would be nice to get a game that isnt 1st person and uses the characters from the films. At this point, I would even settle for a Lego Terminator game lolo!!!

Great job on the video, especially for the movie's 40th anniversary. But sadly you made a big, glaring and repeated error: It's ENDOskeleton, not exo. It's an INNER skeleton. Endo = in Exo = out Think surgergies: An exoscopy of the knee wouldn't make much sense either, right? 😅 Keep up the good work. Tim

01:40 is wrong, the idea for terminator was stolen from two different shows in the sixty's where Harlan Ellison had wrote both scrips for two different sci fi shows, Cameron admitted to stealing these ideas to make terminator, also Harlan Ellison found out due to a magazine interview and sued the production company and won $70,000 and got his named added to the intro and credits of terminator on vhs and laser disc releases, encase no one knows Harlan Ellison is the guy who made (I have no mouth and I must scream) and was a script writer for (B5), there is a interview clip here on KZbin where Harlan Ellison explains all this himself look it up.

Got the quality in the movie clips to show in the game are so bad that if I had not seen the movie, I wouldn’t know what’s happening. The quality looks like it is two 40 x 3 60 but stretched out to 640. No scratch that. It looks like it’s one 28 x 1 28. Stretched out to six 40 x 4 80. That’s the equivalent of blowing up a postage stamp. Dear God, how do you consider that mind blowing? That’s not mind blowing that is what the fuck are we looking at quality lol
