EXTREME COLD camping WITH A KID. -34C at 2000m altitude | A family ski touring trip S4 Ep3#extremecold #coldweathercamping at -34c.
We camped in extreme cold as we slept at 2000m altitude in -34c weather! Join us this episode as we go #winter camping in the #alpine and sleep in our tent at 2000m altitude.
Instead of our snowmobiles, we are taking our ski touring gear to get up into the high alpine where we ski a ridge in an incredibly remote area in northwestern BC, Canada. We end up camping at 2000m Altitude and camping there.
We are in #avalanche country here. Philippe an dLeandra have extensive avalanche safety and rescue training, and we have taught Justin some of these skills also. Because we should all be capable of rescuing each other. The wind is howling in the alpine and the conditions are cold. We hope the sun pops out in the morning after we spend the night toasty in our sleeping bags, close to the summit of the ridge, at 2000m.
The next morning we summit the peak before heading back home.
