Yes your clutches are both working properly Your problem is in direction linkage or something broken inside transmission
@jimciancio90052 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a transaxle gear isn't being engaged and it doesn't seem like either of the clutches are fully moving either. Make sure that your shifter cables are fully moving and adjust the cables if necessary. They're made to be adjusted because they stretch over time. But you seem to have a problem with the primary and secondary clutches not working properly as well. They appear to be dirty and worn out. But they are rebuildable if you are handy and can get them off the shafts that is. They require some specialty tools to get apart or just buy new clutches and a belt, but bottom line is making sure the transaxle is going into forward fully and isn't damaged first. Getting the old pulleys off the shafts is second, sometimes getting these back pulleys or secondary pulleys off can be a very stressful event especially without the proper know-how. Good luck with your project and would suggest it was assessed by a professional in this field.

Transmission problem. Check linkage. May not be fully pulling it Into gear

I did, I think there is something broken inside, I have it on schedule to open it

I had the same problem. It was a bad shift cable. It connects from your shifter to your transmission linkage (between you Engine and transmission).
@BARR83234 жыл бұрын
Did you just replace the cable, or was it just an adjustment? It’s not the FWD/REV cable, correct? I should be looking for a linkage cable that hooks directly to the engine and transmission?
@StephenBrewer894 жыл бұрын
BARR8323 Channel the lever to the left of your trans clutch is tour fed/reveres. Look at that while you shift it f/r. Those cables can break. Make sure that lever is moving because I didn’t see it move in the video. Report back

Hi Stephen Brewer, thank you for the feedback, I checked that cable and connection point while moving the lever FWD/REV. its fully engaged in both direction. I disconnected the cable and moved it manually to be sure its fully locking in FWD/REV but nothing. I am thinking its something inside that has to do with the lever on the gear box. Its just been sitting so my next step will be to drop the axel and pull it apart to see what I see. Thoughts?

BARR8323 Channel yes nite than likely something broke it work inside the trans. May be something simple but I don’t know

There ain’t nothing wrong with the clutches they are both working in order it’s in your transmission the engine only runs in in one diretion
@BARR83234 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I was able to figure it out, I just need to pull the axel/tranny and open it to see what’s broken
@dennisball12983 жыл бұрын
It is the rear secondary clutch the spring slips out a notch or two try to move inside and outside of clutch with your hands if it moves freely 3 to 5 inches it is definitely the spring is broken or slipped from pulling or hauling something just remove the clutch from axle and remove the lock ring be careful it still may be under a little pressure put the spring back in the pin holes designed for it clamp it down and spin until pretty tight push down on the spline reinstall lock ring and you should be able to go up hills again

I will try this, haven’t had time to do a full evaluation, it works perfectly in reverse, when I check the fwd & rev it’s connected to a arm in the axel which leads me to believe it was in the axel.

@BARR83234 жыл бұрын
I haven’t got a chance to work on mine yet, I think it’s something in the transmission, yours might be the clutch, you have to watch the movement of the clutches as you are stepping on the accelerator.

The problem is most likely your driver side wheel hub the drive splines in the brake drum are stripped

I have a 1994 EZ Go doing the same thing. Did you find the problem?
@BARR83234 жыл бұрын
I didn’t get a chance to investigate yet, I eliminated the clutch and cables, I’ve narrow it down to the axle/transmission, something in there broke, or disconnected. Once I pull it apart I will post a video. If you get to it before I do, drop another comment.

@@stevezolinski926 I have a 2010 EZGO Textron workhorse and I had the driver side splines strip out also. I just welded it solid. But I can tell the reason that it stripped out is because my clutch doesn't engage until too high of RPM. So I'm going to pull it all the way off disassemble it completely clean it real well make sure everything's working properly and put it back on. I'll let you know how it goes.

You have to look at it to see if the clutch is opening and closing, if it’s not closing, it could be a clutch problem.
