Wow, just installed this. First impression: This is so incredibly cool. Well done!

Thank you for all the great tools you make! Would you do the DJ TechTools Midi Fight Twister? I'll send you my controller until the script is done.

Really cool! The EC4 is quite a bit expensive but extremely handy on the desk - even so much more with your Bitwig integration ... thank you so much, Jürgen!

Hello Jürgen, been looking for this for ages! I did my own with the flexi and it was working well, but this one is absolute gold. I guess Santa works in mysterious ways :) Thank you!

Thanks for all Jurgen! Your videos are always useful to the core! Was wondering about investing in the Faderfox MX12. Do you think you'll be writing a script for this at all?
@mossgraber2 ай бұрын
I have no plans for that. But you can do quite a lot by using Generic Flexi with it.

I'm a bit interested in this midi controller. Can you try to explain how the rotating encoders feels like? Are they very typical encoder feelings which I find hopeless in giving a good feeling or are they somewhat near to a traditional potentiometer feeling? Looking at your video when you rotate the encoders they seem to respond very nice.
@mossgraber4 ай бұрын
They work fine but feel quite plastic.

Thank you very much!! One question... Can you map or control vsts in reaper? I don't mind very much if I can map but sometimes I want to control one or two parameters in a virtual synth on reaper and I wonder if midi learn works... thanks
@mossgraber10 ай бұрын
Yes but not via MIDI learn. Read the Reaper part of the "Known Issues" section in the manual and watch the Reaper related DrivenByMoss videos on my channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHTYlHlpmsehisU

@@mossgraberthank you very much. I'd love to use the faderfox with external hardware and map some basic functions of VSTs fast but It seems that it's no so easy. Thanks.

Awesome stuff, thank you very much! One question -- is it possible to make it work with virtual MIDI ports? Previously I used my EC4 to control my PC volume, Bitwig and so on. For that I need to split the device into multiple virtual MIDI devices using MIDI Translator Pro and loopMIDI -- i.e. I have its original ports routed to and from "EC4 System", "EC4 Bitwig" and "EC4 Live" virtual ports. The script doesn't seem to pick up the device if I use a virtual port even if I select them manually -- only if I use EC4's original midi in/outs.
@mossgraber11 ай бұрын
I guess you are not routing MIDI sysex through the virtual ports.
@johnmiller1992511 ай бұрын
@@mossgraber I’ll double check that. Thanks!

Is there any way to control more than 8 tracks? I have about 32 in my regular setup.
@mossgraber Жыл бұрын
You can control 12 tracks. You can also select a track in Bitwig to reposition the page of the 12 tracks.

oooh how do I do that? The selecting of a track to reposition the page. THANK YOU!@@mossgraber

Hey Jürgen, I appreciate all your hard work. I am trying to use you OSC functionality in the latest DrivenByMoss (using latest Sonoma and Bitwig 5.0.11)... I just can't seem to get it to work. I use Bridge or IAC Driver, using just the localhost on my MacBook, I use Protokol to check whether it sends a message or not (it does). I am trying to test with a simple '/track/1/volume' and a fader in TouchOSC it gets sent on the specified port as reported by Protokol, but nonetheless it doesn't shift anything in Bitwig... am trying to find information on forums but haven't been able. I've even gotten TouchOSC to receive OSC messages (sometimes), but for some reason not to send... Seems like I am missing a crucial initial step, and can't figure out what. Any idea? Or an old TouchOSC template? (I also know that Protokol reports the message(s) as a FLOAT, and that should be ok right?)
@mossgraber Жыл бұрын
I dropped the TouchOSC template, so if you have my old one it might not be fully compatible. But a user implemented a quite sophisticated TouchOSC template (don't have the link at hand but should be easy to find). You can enable logging in my OSC extension (a restart of the extension is required) which prints all communication to the script console.
@Free3orn Жыл бұрын
@@mossgraber Thank you Jürgen, it seems it had something to do with the port numbers I was using, and is up and running now. I also did find the TouchOSC template I believe you are referring to (TouchOSC Performer, TOP if anyone is interested). Yet another question, is there a way to target a specific track in a specific bank? Happy Holidays and Thanks.
@mossgraber Жыл бұрын
@@Free3ornNo, you can only address the tracks on the current page. But you can move the page.

You can rearrange setups and groups with the editor.
