Divide by 100 then multiply that answer by 12, that'll tell you how much salt is in that 12 gram seasoning. The answer is 3.948 grams, so basically 4g of salt in that little pack. I basically do my own version of that Munchie box that takes a little bit more work but tastes great. Spicy coated chicken strips from Iceland, Tesco or wherever cooked in the air fryer. Chips cooked in the air fryer. Then in a frying pan I throw in some diced onion, chopped chilli and diced peppers and cook until lightly caramelised. Throw the chips and chicken into the frying pan along with your seasoning and stir fry for a few minutes. Bloody lovely.

That's being proven to be a myth. There is no difference between the shiny side and the dull side. The dull side only exists because of the process making it. Its caused by the roller that stretches it. Btw former chef here.

Quite amusing, as usual. I have only ever once bought a meal from Iceland, so I can’t really comment, but half a kilogram of ‘chips’ is a hell of a lot,. The word salt can refer to many chemical compounds, but in culinary terms in this country, usually refers to sodium Cloride (NaCl), food enhancer usually refers to monosodium glutamate - (another salt), often used to brighten cooked greens & enhance other flavours. Love your take on food which is clearly aimed at the bachelor or single person. Personally, I used to love cooking, but not if I was the only person eating.
@weebizzom1495
@weebizzom1495 Жыл бұрын
When you first said it was £5, I thought that was expensive, but it would definitely make two meals for me, so £2.50 a meal is all right. I like that everything is in separate pieces and in separate bags, so you don't have to cook everything at once. I may give this a try.

That KMC salt and pepper seasoning is bob-on... Stick some onions, chillis, garlic & ginger in a hot wok with a modest dash of sesame oil (or some 'stir fry' oil), add some air fried Aunt Bessie's chips and toss the lot together with some of that KMC seasoning & light soy sauce. Same result as a chippy at a fraction of the cost of their salt and pepper chips!

Loved the Muppet's back in the late 70s Gaz, especially the two old guys in the balcony, Waldorf and Statler as well as the mad scientist Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant, Beaker and Miss Piggy doing her karate on poor Kermit - Hiiiii-Yaa !!!! Telly seemed way better back then, especially the old sitcoms, game shows and comedians but sadly the PC/Woke/Snowflake Brigade have put an end to some of those. Regarding the chicken, I may have a go at doing a homemade version - Fry some onions with fresh sliced chillies and diced peppers in a wok with some salt and a bit of honey then batter some diced chicken fillets and deep fry. Sounds 'spot on' to me 😀😀😀

A good amount there Gareth, so no need for anything else. Coriander to me tastes like plasticine, the stuff we had at school and used to chew like gum. Well I did anyway 😝

Yes I don't like it raw. OK in curries though.

Might buy one on a Tuesday as over 60s get 10% off at Iceland Made a pigs ear mixing them ingredients up on the plate. Ive got Swedish relatives and they sound like that impersonation.

Well to be fair a £5 for two for during Saturday drinkies, it seems ok, versus the munchie box for one from whatever takeaway. I would probably just bung it all in the airfryer 15 minutes 190 and hope the chips don't cremate! Hehe, but yeah a lot more thought is required when using the oven, good that you consider that. Great video as usual x

Divide the “salt per 100g” by 100. That gives you salt per gram. Then, multiply that by 12. 32.9/100*12=3.95g of salt, or 2/3 of your daily allowance. Split between two people though, not too bad really. Looked tasty too, shame about the soggy coating though! Air fryer all the way 😊
