Thank you for your explanation. Still learning and confused with this bunch of brevities. Great!

Thanks for watching. Make sure to download the document and keep it handy to refer too when you have time. There are words that am still learning but don't want to use them because not everyone understands what they mean. Be sure to watch my correction video on Clean vs Naked kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJfUq6Z3h8iKaKM

This is awesome. I always thought “Spotted” but we for Sam in search mode

Thanks for watching and positive feedback. What term are you referring to?
@RainmanHST2 жыл бұрын
@@AviationPlus “spotted”. I always thought that was used for when a Sam search radar painted you?
@AviationPlus2 жыл бұрын
@@RainmanHST Oh I'm following now I was thinking I never used spotted. Yes dirt and mud.
@RainmanHST2 жыл бұрын
@@AviationPlus I’ve never heard or seen dirt before.

Thaaank you. I still play Falcon 4.0 AF and I was for long time really confused about Bogey.

Confusing it can get you into some virtual trouble

Thank you for the video. Is there a BMS document that covers this topic?

Not in BMS but here is the document. www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=armypubs.army.mil/epubs/DR_pubs/DR_a/ARN32045-ATP_1-02.1-001-WEB-3.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjozaWT2LD8AhVuMEQIHePIDlcQFnoECBkQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3pMlwaQjATp7aqSreMKZgO

Great work Prime! The part about Clean/Naked isn't quite correct. The easiest way to differentiate the two is that Clean has to do with A/A Radar only and Naked has to do with the RWR only. So you only use 'Clean' when the specific air contact or group being talked about, is not on your radar. Example "Viper 12 target Single Group bullseye XX/XXX" "Viper12 clean Single Group !" aka, #1 asked #2 to target a group but two said that they don't have that group on radar. GCI can call 'clean' also if they don't see a contact that a fighter points out or asks about. Example, "Viper1, Spike 27, bearing 360" - "Magic Clean 360, nearest threat BRAA 310, 30nm" aka, the Fighter asked for a spike range from a Su27 coming from the north but the AWACS doesn't see anything to the north of that fighter, they only see the closest threat BRAA 310, 30nm". So in your example, you wouldn't say 'Clean SA-2', you'd say 'Naked 2'. Naked doesn't have to mean the RWR is completely empty of emitters, rather that the specified emitter is not present. So if you're dueling with a group of Flankers and you're doing your spike status when flowing cold, even if there's a random EWR on your RWR, you'd still call 'naked' to convey to flight lead that you're not actively being targeted by anything. With that information the flight lead can decide who to turn back into the fight. Keep up the good work!

That's for the clarification but the 3-2.5 should be more clear. Clean - [A/A] No sensor information on a GROUP of interest. Naked - [A/A] No radar warning receiver indications. It should say Naked [type/group of interest] Clean should have Radar instead of sensor

This is great help. Thank you. Do I only use singer when missile is shot at me?
@AviationPlus2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is an RWR indication of a SAM launch and for you to know that you would be in that fired upon envelope.

Any thoughts on "Mud Spike" over "Singer"? Or is that a made up term?
@AviationPlus2 жыл бұрын
Mud spike is a merged term that is not proper brevity.
@bdmystic36762 жыл бұрын
Another reason to completely change the word being used is so that the situation cannot easily be confused. If you call "mud spike" and I'm not paying attention or the transmission doesn't come through, I may only hear one word. If you mean indicate that you have a SAM launching on you and I only hear "mud" or "spike" fron your transmission, I can find myself in a vulnerable position thinking you're taking about something completely different.

correct me but Ive had occasions when an RWR signal shows in the inner circle but without being spiked, that is possible right ?
@AviationPlus2 жыл бұрын
Yes this is possible. It means the RWR calculated that emitter being within lethal range based on signal strength and threat algorithms.

Thanks, BMS is a nice sim, but it's a shame it doesn't support VR.
