To have a spot to pull up on, and catch a variety of fish with just one lure.....gotta to be happy with that! Plus, it is just plain old fishing; not pulling planer boards trolling, having to go through all sorts of tackle combinations to figure out what they are biting on, etc., just some jigs, plastics, and a spinning rod to get going.......you have the life of Riley there, my friend! Once upon a time, over two... (i.e. an afternoon, followed by the next morning), ... outings, i was amazed and fortunate to actually catch FOURTEEN different species, all on lures, from a stretch of the Ohio R. between WV and OH. Encountering even half of that number as a mixed bag catch, would normally get one's attention.

We was on pool 9 using ice rods and clam swirl drops with silkie trailers and catching perch off the dock. Great episode!

Been struggling in the Winona area lately. All shore fishing spots are slowing down. 1 bass 2 northern on plastics this weekend. Found crappies sitting up close to boat houses ranging 10-13inches. Random 23 inch walleye for my buddy on a drop shot minnow by the boat houses. It’s sure grind season for the shore bangers! Glad to see you still able to find fish and a nice variety at that. Love the videos Lance you give insight for all fellow Mississippi River anglers.

Very good advice. Went shore fishing. Had to move a lot. Kept nine fish mixed bag .used green twister tail on jig.

I enjoy multi species catches. That color is one of my favorites but I always wonder what the fish thinks they are eating.

Well. Took my daughter out in the wind and waves to try and catch her first sauger and we got out butts kicked! Wish I saw this a couple days ago! Great video as always

Yes. It was Saturday. Caught one decent pike but the highlight was the lamprey that came with it! First one of those for us so I guess we can check that off the species list 😂
