Thanks Matt. Nice Tutorial. Its a very effective addition to a map but you make it look suprisingly simple. If you are looking for any ideas for a tutorial I would love to see a teleportation tutorial that includes adjustment of the player rotation. Most of the ones I have seen on YT only deal with the change of position so it would be interesting to see how you do it. Kind regards QV

Is there any way to culling out particles that not in a BOUNDS? Or in a Layermask? I have a water ans bubbles in it. I want to cull out the particles on the top of water

That's a good question, I'm not sure about that one actually. If you find out, I'd love to know. Did Google have any ideas? :)

How would you propose handling LOD seeing as the particle system doesn't get culled in Unity's LOD Group component, and constantly running a particle system for every tree in a large group, lets say a forest, would be very taxing for most PCs? Other than that though absolutely amazing video, good job!
@SpeedTutor Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure how particle systems work in this regard, if they all share the same material they will all be pretty optimised but you could turn them off once you get to a certain distance.
@stylie473joker5 Жыл бұрын
Maybe parent the particle system to the high poly tree model that the player will be close to only ?, that way the other lower poly tree models that are supposed to be far from player won't have the particle system

Why is it when I do this. I drop my image into Maps and the image doesn't change. It stays as a pink square. So when drop my material into the particle system, it just a bunch of pink squares. What am I missing?

I had same issue, however I use URP so selecting the material --> Edit --> Render Pipeline --> Universal Render Pipeline --> Upgrade Selected Materials To UniversalRP Materials - worked for me. I don't know why this would need to be done when you aren't importing old materials into the project but yeah.
