You couldn't have said it any better! To all the commenters who continue to point out that the recipes are made with sugar don't seem to understand that they are talking about "added" sugars, like beet or cane sugars, fructose and sucrose, etc. This recipe was not made with any of that, it just has the sugars that are naturally found in the real food, like fruits & dates, etc.

The title is implying that if you don't eat sugar, use dates and oats for this dessert because there isn't any, which is misleading/clickbait and just wrong. In the dates and oats alone, accounting for fiber, there is 148g net grams of sugar. That is equal to the same amount of sugar in 45.5oz(1.2L) of Coca-Cola. If I were someone on a no sugar diet and just took the title by what it said, ate it, and then decided to actually see how much sugar there was in the recipe i'd be pissed.

I fill about 5 dates with natural peanut butter that has no additives. I let them sit in refrigerator for one hour . I then dip them in melted 70% dark chocolate and a sprinkle of sea salt. Keep them in refrigerator. I eat one occasionally when I crave something sweet 😁

It's annoying when people always say in the comments that if you eat dates you eat sugar. It's nowhere near the same thing, dates are one of the rare super foods that have natural sugars that don't raise A1C or glucose. When someone says they don't eat sugar you know damn well they mean they don't eat processed sugar, dates are natural so therefore they don't count. Do your research before you comment. The only unhealthy item I would swap in this video is using olive oil instead of vegetable oil. Thank you for the recipe I loved it!

You are only partially correct, dates do alter AC1 and glucose values so it is not raccoonmanded to be consumed in large amounts by diabetic or pre-diabetic possible alternatives are berries lower GI val, figs for the same reason, cherries and stevia; I am only self aware not diabetic but everyone preparing the recipe will use own judgement regarding possible swapping ingredients if tested own reactivity to different ingredients( Lumen device, Zoe program, Levels Health or Freestyle Libre 3)...I would just enjoy preparing the original recipe, 1 sin a month will not count😅

I don't ear sugar either,, I don't even have any sugar in the hoise and don't pit sugar in my coffee, other then Starbucks French vanilla creamer, so no sugar whatsoever except for maybe an occasional twinkle, candy bar, morning pop tart, mini white powder donuts, fruit loops and and and and.. so this does look like a healthy substitute,,

I am sorry but what you said is wrong, dates is a fruit between other which have a high glycemic index, that mean stimulate the insulin secretion, so be careful, it's question of glycemic index.

Das nehme ich jeden Morgen schon seit 3 Jahren als Frühstück grob zerhackt und mit Milch in die Arbeit mit. Aber diese Kugeln kenne ich aus der Heimat (Türkei) Meine Oma hat sie mit getrockneten Feigen, Pfirsiche, Datteln, Aprikosen und alle möglichen Nüsse gemacht. Aber ohne Schokolade. Manchmal hatten wir sie noch in Traubenmelasse getunkt oder Puderzucker aber so gegessen meistens.

I think you mean cane or beet sugar, the highly refined white stuff in paper bags. Please be more specific when you say you don’t eat sugar, and then eat dates which are very high in sugar.
