I feel culture gets enriched slightly for having bad music. That being said, we could have done without Earth. It's bad on so many conceivable levels. The song itself, lyrics/jokes, the superficial substance-less message (even on the charity website), the celebrity features, the $4 million budget for the music video, the fact so many people seemed to enjoy it, and that I can't even find any humour in it other than childishness (bar "we forgive you Germany", the best part of the song), etc. It has so many blatantly awful facets that make it almost impossible to trump. Earth by Lil Dicky is a true number 1 for worst of the decade.

I'm two years late but watching this, I was genuinely a tiny bit surprised by Venom being on here. While Venom is rather annoying when it comes to the effect used for the chorus, the song is nowhere near as bad as some of the shit that came out of the soundcloud rapper wave, as well as like every single pop song you'd hear on the radio (since they quite literally all sound the exact same) Venom being above full-on irritating shit (SELFIE being a huge one since it's literally just the most annoying shit repeated for I wanna say three minutes or some garbage) is extra surprising to me, as I don't think I've met a single person who would listen to anything by The Chainsmokers rather than some rap song with an annoying chorus.
