If the moving company is helping all you have to do is place the drawers in garbage bags and tape them with painters tape. Take everything hanging in the closet, and cover with garbage bags. Poke a hole at the bottom of the bag for the hanger hook, tie all the hangers together tightly and around the bag too. Then put a knot at the opening of the bag. You may need to roll the bottom of some of your longer garments. Label all the rooms with post it notes or paper and label where everything should go. That way the movers can put things right where they go. Carry your computer equipment yourself to ensure that damage is not likely. Offer the movers water. Don't be afraid to tip. Be ready before they come. Nothing pisses movers off more than them showing up to a job and the client hasn't packed. U-Haul has a box sharing program. Check that out to save on boxes and to get rid of boxes without wasting.

That bus is an excellent idea for moving. The few times that we've had to move someone we'll clean out our 4 horse trailer, works great and is cheaper than renting a Uhaul ... although, occasionally it can have a slight odor to it. Also, moving is so much easier if you aren't in a rush. It really looks great!

....hey guys..(laura and jacob) i'm just getting caught up on your journey...SO excited to see you'all movin' in..!#!WOO HOO#! ...a little tip to keep your furniture cover - from slipping- take leftover PVC pipes/cut to appropriate lengths/ wrap kitchen cupboard liner, you know the 'rubbery' stuff you can get it from the $store, anywho wrap the liner around the PVC pipes and stuff it in the crevasses between the cushions and the body of the furniture...it ACTUALLY works!

12 thumbs up!!!!! Okay, so it's really all 10 fingers and my 2 big toes.... but we won't go into that right now. So now that you've made the big move into the house, now you can sit back and relax and let the pieces fall into place as you shuffle things around. Take your time and enjoy all your hard efforts. When it is all put together, you'll know and then you will start looking for other pieces of furniture and nick-knacks to add here and there. It never ends. When it is all done, I'm coming over for dinner..... of course I don't have the slightest clue where you live, but I was always good at hide-n-go-seek as a kid. This has been fun to watch. Again, thank you so very much for taking us all along on the journey!

Hi Laura, lovely lovely home. I think that once you have lived there for a few months you will find that as you settle in , you will then get the boxes and cupboards all sorted out and then you will just sink into your sofa and sigh , look around and feel at home. So happy for you .

So many abandoned house that still not restored or used to live in, people should make for this example of this video so they have the idea to help them to restored the old history houses and old buildings, there is so many people out there, that are really hard to find a good place to live and stay, such as homeless etc, the government should have this kind of idea to restosted the old buildings for the property and homeless people.

Oh sug, you don't have a blanket problem... You don't even know what a blanket problem is...lol I have 8 hand made quilts, probably 10 fuzzy blankets, 6 knitted blankets, 10-15 sheet sets, 20 or so pillowcase sets, 12 bed pillows, 8 lap throws, and a good number of my grandmother's hand embroidered sheets that no one is even allowed to touch... That is a blanket problem... ;)
