Thanks for posting this! Took me forever to figure all of this out. Instructions are very vague. About to test the units on my Tundra with Traction control and ABS issues. Also a F150 with every warning light on.

Hey Eric, just thought I would let you know what the Cust. Service found out and why I could not get a full load of the software. They found the serial number of my scanner was bond to another persons email address. They cleared that person from the serial number. Then had me to re-register my info and then activate the unit. Once there was able to do the software update. Now the unit is back with everything loaded. Thanks for listing and have a nice eveinging.

I bought the same , with the intention to fix a p2562 code in my Hyundai santa fe. I did what you indicated and nothing... I'm pretty sure I messed up somewhere. As far as I know this is bidirectional, I wanted to test the turbo boost actuator. I guess I'm not only stupid on top of old

I bought a used NT604 . I didn't even know about the dongle thing. When I began catching on about it, I couldn't find info as to what that mysterious thing was (which was missing) . Oh wow, it's just a card reader/dongle. Wow, thanks for mentioning it. Others don't seem to. Maybe I will have better luck with this thing now. Hey do you know if it is compatible with a Mac ? That's my next of probably many hurdles.

Is there software to help with captured data imported from tool Do you don't have to toggle through tool. Also hate naming files saved via onscreen tool display. Have a PC hooked up while capturing ? Thanks great videos.

i have the nt6x4 elite series and i do not get what you get? i got this form the neighbor and i downloaded the software and registered that serial number and it said on my account registered but when i go to registered it fails to show on my page. and i do not get that page your showing i also went to foxwell and got a different outdated registration and it would not let me do any updates it found the serial number and some type of password but then did not accept it. and the support ticket on either site will not let me enter the scanner of serial numbers so how do you do this for real

You have to get the original password from your neighbor.

i did manage to get that app that you show now on both pcs. and foxwell sent me an email telling me they will reset it for me so i can get the updates thanks for the video

Thanks for the update Eric, mine does not show any of what yours did. I sent and e-mail to the Cust. Support. When I last checked the maintenacne it just shows Oil Light Reset where before also showed EPB Service. I only have 6% on my card?

Are you sure you didn't download the update for a lesser model? The NT614 is much more basic.

@@FarpointFarms nope as the first few times I tried just plugged the scanner into the computer. From there went down hill. Still have not heard from customer service. I am just about ready to reformat the sd card and try again.

I gave up waiting, formated the sd card, then tried to update it using the card holder, but had to install it in the scanner, and plugged it into the computer, foxwell said it was crupted and after typing in the serial # it started an update, will leave it until I get a different message.

I lost power during my download update. The GUI shows is a white fuzzy screen showing only the OBD icon. In other words, the update crashed. Any idea how to restore factor settings?

Some of the units will have a small "reset" hole that you can use a pin or something to reset it. If there is a plastic case around it, you might have to remove it to fine it. I am sorry that you are having so much trouble with it.

I was having trouble updating untill I realized I was at the European fox well site not USA next time I had issues turned out sd card corrupted..got wet...put in new one and ok
