I'm a blackmetalhead and I love to laugh, love to love. Black metal is a powerful expressive tool, the best stuff really comes from something inside you. I can def see how some ppl say its the rap of metal. But like laughter and happiness is also a very powerful emotion. I used to take myself way to seriously, I was so insufferable I swear to the gods. I feel like it's now that I understand empathy more, and my own trauma that I can create the best art I ever have. Don't forget to further your humanity. That's how we beat the incel fascists in our communities. We can want the world to burn without being cruel to other suffering people.

Nicht, weil es nicht der geilste Song den sie jemals rausgebracht haben wäre, sondern weil der Song nicht mehr zu den frühesten Alben gehört und du ja mal meintest, du fändest die Band mittlerweile so na ja... Kann ich teilweise nachvollziehen, aber was Vredesbyrd an geht bin ich trotzdem voll bei dir. Das Riff ( kommt einmal am Anfang und am Ende übrigens ) ist der Hammer

Try listening to anything other than metal. Either you'll be able to take a short rest and get back into metal, you'll become a fan of that genre instead, get sick of it, and return to metal, or you'll accidentally get too involved in the genre, forget about metal, and be asking this exact question but with a different genre

Like the other guy said,try listening to different types of music, explore music genres that interest you, listen to Classical Music if you like it (believe it or not, Metal and Classical Music have many similarities to each other). Now, if you want to continue listening only to Metal, try listening to some more experimental albums, with daring proposals but that meet the conditions to be considered "Metal". Ved End Blues (Almost sure that is not how you spell it,lol) for example, it's a great Experimental Black Metal band, with a lot of influence from Jazz and Classical Music. The Rate Your Music website should help you do both of those things. I hope I helped, and long live Black Metal! \m/

I actually do listen to a lot of different genres mostly dream pop, shoegaze, trip hop, electronic music and I love those genres but black metal is still my favourite and it's more of a frustration of not getting captured by anything new and become a bit burned out on listening to what I already know

Anyway, if I saw a newbie wanting to do black metal, I'll make him listen to music and I'll give him/her tricks to make a band. Wannabes will quit after 1 month at best.
