This is an amazing free resource that many people don't know about. I am often asked where to go to find this "free bookkeeper certification" that I'm always talking about. It's strangely hard to find this training on the Intuit Quickbooks website and sort through the different options, Quickbooks types, etc. Here's my recommendation on the best option for bookkeepers and exactly where to find it. Sign up for Quickbooks Online Accountant: c1.qbo.intuit....
Then go to "ProAdvisor" on the left, then "Training" at the top

If you can't see training, first try a new browser (maybe Firefox). You can always call Intuit with issues. To see if Proadvisor training is available in your country, I found these steps in a help forum:
To check if QuickBooks offers the training in your country:
Go to this link: quickbooks.int....
Scroll down and at the bottom of the page, choose your country from the Select a Country drop-down.
Hover your mouse on the Accountants & Bookkeepers tab at the top mid of the page.
You'll see the ProAdvisor Portal or Training from the drop-down.

Part 3 progress report: I completed the Introduction to QuickBooks Online for Accountants! From 74% completion point to 100% completed training modules of the course, it took me 1.75 hours. Overall summation of the Intro to QuickBooks Online for Accountants course: very informational and a "must-need-to-know." If you are familiar with QuickBooks Online, then you can skim/skip the stuff. But if you are new, like me, then this will help you big time in your next challenge of getting the QuickBooks Online Certification. Great share FinePoints, thank you! Part 2 progress report: I am 74% of the way in Intro to Quickbooks online for accountants. I spent 1.5 hours doing the following module lesson chapters: Expenses and vendors chapter and banking chapter. These two module chapters primarily focus on navigating quickbooks online (QBO) account. In terms of these 2 chapters being relevant to bookkeeping, I say not so much. They just focus on training you how to use QBO account. However, they do explain very basic terminology. Overall, these two chapters were worth going through (considering I knew nothing of about them). Again, if you have online banking and you know how to navigate it pretty darn well, I find it very similar in that way and helped me understand the content of the 2 chapters. I will keep you apprised of my progress.

Thanks for the direction to obtain the QB ProAdvisor training. That was very good and helpful. Unfortunately, the actual training itself is horrible. Can one really do the training in 7.5 hrs, then pass the exam? Maybe if you are extremely good at memorizing software use pathways. That seems to be what the ProAdvisor exam is after. We really appreciate your advice for arriving at the training. This isn't your fault. But we are extremely disappointed in the QB program. We tend to learn by using a program, not reading how to use it in a tutorial or manual, then taking an exam. The training makes you do that, and the examples use outdated formats. We will continue to plug away at it, but it's going to take many times longer then 7.5 hours. Maybe more like 7.5 months! Maybe that's why it's free! Thinking about looking into Xero. Maybe it is better. We are incredibly disappointed with QB right now.

I'm sorry it wasn't helpful for you! I know what you mean about memorizing software pathways... I do find that there is somewhat of a steep learning curve to QBO, but then it gets much easier (start small with just the functions you need). Are you a bookkeeper, or looking to learn QB for your own business? I know people do like Xero, but I haven't used it personally. Hope you find what works best for you!

I’d like to see a video on pricing for clients I find that setting hourly rates is a bit confusing but having a set rate depending on company size or transactions would be better. I don’t have any clients yet I see job postings for in-house bookkeeper for about 40,000 a year, can we surpass this amount working for ourselves?

Okay, got it! I agree, it is confusing. I do think that you can surpass 40K/year... in-house bookkeepers usually make a much lower hourly rate then you can charge as a contractor with experience.

Generally, it teaches you the Quickbooks system not the bookkeeping course. That’s why after the advanced certification, it entitles you to promote Quickbook and become an advisor.

Question. I want to do this but I have heard that you need to be an accountant first in order to become a bookkeeper is that really true? Because I don’t want to spend time at a college just to become an accountant, I am only interested in becoming a bookkeeper.

I feel so sad because they asking for a number outside of the Philippines which i cannot provide- btw i am graduated as Bookkeeper here in the Philippines and i am more interested yo purse more my course more than i learned from school which just limited- we do manually and not using Quickbooks( no idea about this website) so i am very interested. Because I have had employers use quickbooks and I once had an account, my log in automatically takes me to quickbooks online and not quickbooks accountant

I have been interested in bookkeeping and how to get "educated in the field" without paying an arm and a leg. Got Quickbooks online accountant account set-up. I am a total newbie in this field (was in the food service and looking to transition away from food because of celiac disorder). Began the training: Intro to Quickbooks online for accountants. I am 44% of the way, took me about 4 hours. Gotta keep in mind, I am totally new to this entire field (my previous food experience helped a wee bit in understanding but most of the content was new). I will keep ya'll posted. So far, once you learn how to navigate their web-page/dashboard, it is easy to understand what the training is trying to teach you.
