I'm so glad you said that some of the flatbreads will puff up and some won't! I always make them and they only fully puff up about 70% of the time, I thought I'd been doing it wrong this whole time haha

Looks amazing! I am vegan so I appreciate the tips. I like to use extra-firm tofu that is cubed and dry-fried in place of paneer. Not exactly the same, but still delicious. Looks like you had a lovely time!

Or you can make good bhurji if tofu is crumbly. I am terrible cook, but have managed to find some hacks.

Tofu is nothing but soya paneer 😊 if the sauce is good then it will taste delicious 😋

Aloha, Chetna! Another fab SF video. I had to chuckle when you commented on the “mahoosive” onion. When I moved from the UK to the States, I, too, was startled at how big the onions are! When I cook your recipes and you specify “two onions”, I usually only use one. 😆 🧅 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

I am in South Florida (between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami) and I also have a glass cook-top stove. There are no gas lines where I live, so I have no choice but to have an electric oven and range. What do you think about cooking on a glass cook top? I am sure you prefer gas burners as well! Lovely recipe! Thank you!! 🌟🌟🌟❤️❤️❤️

Do we have to wash onion
@samroy59672 жыл бұрын
Can I make onion paste and fry that? Once that’s cooked - add tomato purée and fry that? Instead of frying everything together and putting that in the grinder? I don’t want to put oily fried foods in my grinder - I’d rather put raw ingredients to make a paste - and fry the paste/poured instead. 😬

I love the idea that you might not have a rolling pin - so, of course, you’d use a wine bottle instead!

if using a wine bottle to roll rotis, be sure you have removed the label and washed the bottle carefully (removing all paper, adhesive, etc.).

How many people does this serve? I live on my own, and while I donn't mind eating a meal 3 or 4 days in a row if I have to (I rarely have extra room in my freezer - if it even freezes well), there is a limit. It looks like it feeds a fair few people. It'd be nice to know if I should half all the 'measurement's used in the video, or whatever to make less of it and it still be in the right proportions to just feed me (and sometimes my daughter) for just a few days. Does anybody know? Has anybody tried making it from this video? Thank you for any suggestions, I can't be the only single person out there who's always trying to reduce down ingredients to more manageable sizes for their circumstances?
