Hi! Thanks for this tutorial. I installed my locks over the weekend. It took about 8-9 hours. I have received nothing but compliments.

Breanna, I absolutely love how you have 2 versions of this tutorial: a brief one and a detailed one. I have watched both and have gathered explicit and relevant explanations of how to achieve this style. Your tutorials are always so insightful. I noticed the way to install the yarn is the same way you showed how to install the kenekalon hair when doing box braids. I adore how your hubby supports you (as the cameraman) to share these videos. Kudos for the warning of NOT using acrylic yarn. Without the warning, I probably would've bought the cotton yarn. Big fan of your tutorials!!!

This is such a beautiful and great idea! I just feel it would also be helpful to where a shirt color that isn't so dark, like the color of the extentions being used.

Thank you so much for posting! My daughter is mixed and loves the loc look, searching for synthetic locs online looked like it was going to cost me upwards of $200, and for a beginner that was just not reasonable, so this so much easier and less costly, I am such a noob at working with her hair for most things other than braiding and twisting for bed time x_x

I love the yarn wraps! I have never seen this before, it truly gives the illusion of locs. I will slowly do this on my yarn twists tonight. Will this turn out the same on yarn twists? Even so, it's worth a try, I just love this. It's much neater, but the cutting the ends parts.....I'm too lazy for that! Lol!

Thank you for such an insightful and thorough tutorial. I am considering installing this to my hair , however, my question is how much will it affect my hair due to the fact that i work out at least 5 days a week and a sweat profusely in my head? You did mention that it is very important to keep hair dry. Thanks again and looking forward for a speedy response.

Are Yarn braids/wraps lighter in weight, than traditional faux locs?
@martitarobbins9 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, but mine aren't really heavy. I used about 1.5 rolls of yarn. It feels about as heavy as box braids or Senegalese twists to me.
