In this season of quarantine, we’ve been missing family like crazy. As I’ve been at home with my kiddos, I’ve been looking back on old family photos and reminiscing about my own childhood. I’m so grateful for the parents God gave me!
This video is Part 2, and focuses on my Mom, and some of my favorite childhood memories with her. She’s the most patient, gentle and loving woman I know. She’s a storehouse of wisdom for me as a young mom. She’s a gem, and I feel so blessed to call her my mom!

You should make this a series, sharing all your favorite memories with each of your sisters, and how often you see them now that you're all starting families of your own. I love all your videos by the way!!

I recently had a miscarriage at 16 weeks. Through that tough time, I kept remembering your parents saying “the lord gives, and the lord takes away, blessed be the name of the lord” when they lost a baby too soon. That has been such a huge example for me on how to handle our loss. Your mom’s love for Jesus is abundant in everything she does. What a great Titus 2 way to teach younger women.

When I was miscarrying....I kept repeating those exact words over and over while my husband was driving me to the hospital. Because Michelle allowed the cameras in during that very hard time.... God is still using her and her words to point mother's to the Lord during these hard times still to this day...God can use all of our good times and hard times for good. And Michelle is the perfect example of that! ❤

Jessa, I can't think of a better way to honor your parents than to speak of the personal memories of ur growing up years! and reminiscing on the many contributions they made in each of your lives. Your Mom🌹has been an example to many of us veteran moms as well. I remember purchasing her book, "A Love That Multiplies" and reading it with delight knowing that I would be encouraged. Your Dad Jim Bob & Mom Michelle, created a warm home filled with what she termed “serene chaos.”😁 I derived so much from the spiritual insights, wisdom, practical tips, and the many funny & tender stories she shared in that book. They have loved well! 💯💕 PS:I'm sorry about your grandma's passing last year. She too had a wonderful testimony of faith. You and your siblings have some big shoes to fill with all the love that has been poured out into your lives. ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

I am 1 of 11 kids and people are always surprised to hear that we all have the same mom and dad.. my mom passed away 5 years ago In May. Something I always dreaded all my life but never expected that it would happen that soon.. hearing you speak about your mother takes me back so much . My mom was so much like your mom.. she was the most loving, giving, caring, respectful, meek woman of God. She lived for her children and grandchildren. I think something made me pick on your video tonight. It was so hard to lose my mom and in the beginning I thought about her all the time but I’ve lost sight of that for awhile now. It was hard to remember all the good times and so painful . I have 5 children of my own now and have been struggling with patience and not losing my temper.. hearing you talk about your wonderful mother reminded me of mine and how I want to be. For once I feel like hearing you talk about your mom helped me to look back and recall memories of mine and for once not all felt so painful but actually made me smile and say yes my mom did the same or said the same.. so thank you Jess..

I have five little ones right now and there was a time didn’t think that I would be able to handle having more than 2...But truly my heart just grows with each one and I cannot imagine not having my current baby number 5. I’m so thankful for this opportunity to be a mama. I needed to hear this and pray that Christ will renew my mind and help me be soft spoken for my own children, and not use tiredness as an excuse!! ♥️ I read a book your mom wrote about how she was up at 2am doing laundry again and just cried to the Lord and then a sweet lady volunteering to help fold laundry soon after. She sure is an inspiration and wealth of wisdom! It struck me that honoring our parents as you have here is so important because not only is it so we are obeying that command, but also because it is such a huge blessing to others when we choose to do so. Thank you for taking the time to do this Jessa! ♥️

To GOD the glory! This is such a wonderful tribute to your mom. You should preach. Your words have really reached me tonight. I lost my son last February at the age of 43 very unexpectedly. He was a good Christian man, a school teacher, a loving husband, and day wonderful, loving son and brother. The pain has been unbearable, but every day I wake up to read scripture, and depend so heavily on the Lord’s love, and mercy. I will miss my son until I take my last breath, but he is with our Savior,

I still love your mom so much and hear her advise in my head sometimes while raising my own precious tribe 😊 Will you please thank her for me when you have the chance? I tried to take what I lacked in guidance, faith, love and bestow that to the best of my ability to my own kids. I fell short a lot of times but I am comforted knowing I was a better example. I wish I had been led to the Lord much, much sooner but I have him now and thankful I was able to find him through the haze, terror and pain. Dearest Jessa, You are indeed blessed to have such a Godly Mom & Dad. Your Mom is such a precious sweet Godly lady indeed & to raise 19 children in the nurture & admonition of the Lord is so amazing! She is unique & one of a kind! And you Jessa & your reflect her image, you guys are living for God & raising your kids as you were raised & that isn't an easy job whether it be 1, 3 or 20! But your Mom God picked because she is so special & obedient to her God & your Dad also! I could say so many wonderful things about you guys & I will but for now, you are an amazing Godly young lady Jessa following in your Mom's footsteps! I am so for young people like you & your siblings it's so refreshing! I love you guys & appreciate Duggars so much! I keep you guys in my prayers, you guys face so much criticism sometimes, no one is perfect not till we get to Heaven but I'll tell if the ones doing all the criticism could do just one tenth of all the great things you guys do then this world would be a better place!! Keep looking up & God bless you richly & your sweet family!! Stay safe!! I love you all dearly, 🙏🤗❤🙏❤📖❤🙌🌹👍

This was truly beautiful to hear. I'm a big believer in telling those you love what you are thankful for while they are here. It's so clear how gracious and patient your mother is. I'm so glad you made this video Jessa. It's so important to think about what memories and qualities your grateful for in your parents and to have them spread through generations. I see alot of your mother's nature in you and how you hold yourself. I get alot out of your videos and I'd really like to thank you for that!
