Thanks for posting this. Just FYI the B8-8.5 Cabriolet were built in Neckarsulm, Germany. Their belly pans are two piece, the front is aluminum (at least mine is). The fasteners are triple box 8M (12 point) and there are some stiffening braces under the engine and transmission that the fasteners screw into.

You failed to mention that there is the reset of the dash information The first reset is the time and mileage which can be done with no special tools via the MMI. The service due notification requires a special instrument that plugs into the OBD Port

9 months ago I did my first oil change and had to hack one of my triple square bolts. I bought new bolts at the dealership and reapplied them with never seize. Went to do my next oil change and now I have 4 bolts frozen. You really ought to sell non-triple square replacements.

That's waaaaay easier than I expected. How hard is it to change the lower oil pan? I bought one because mine is cracked but my Audi dealer is saying like $330?!🤔 It's more expensive than installing my clutch slave cylinder.. 😑

So potential first time S4 owner here: how much are you saving DIY vs just taking to a dealer for oil change or a 3rd party place?
@fcpeuro4 жыл бұрын
you're looking at this costing roughly $120-$150 at a dealership for this. So you're saving an easy $50-70 plus with our lifetime guarantee you have free oil changes for the life of vehicle essentially.

It is never confidence inspiring for a shop selling parts to have a representative say the number of fasteners going back on a car is less than what the factory put in!!! Unless you know more than the manufacturer, it is best not to 2nd guess them nor take shortcuts!!!
