Federal Flite Control 00 Buckshot Mossberg Shockwave Patterning! Best defensive load?

I tested Federal Premium 12 gauge 2 3/4" 9 pellet 00 Buck out of my Mossberg Shockwave with wood grips furniture and leather strap. I shot it at 7 yards and 25 yards to demonstrate the pattern of the spread of the shot. This shot is moving at 1145 fps and, is copper plated, and is wrapped in a flitecontrol wad.
I ran two other types of ammo at 7 yards just for the sake of comparison: Hornady American Gunner 2 3/4" Reduced Recoil 8 pellet 00 buckshot (1350 fps), and NSI Law Enforcement Buckshot which fires 12 pellets moving at 1290 fps. The NSI claims that it's a 2 3/4" shell but it is around 3/16" longer than standard 2 3/4" loads.

Always been a fan of Federal Premium in rifle and handgun ammo. What choke were you using?

I'm also a fan of all things Federal (especially HST). This barrel isn't tapped for choke tubes, it comes with a cylinder bore barrel from the factory.

How long is barell? Looks like 14".

Yeah, it's a 14" barrel.

@@ConcealedSteel Excellent results for 14". If they have 20" barrell, maybe have more better pattern. Looks like, you don't need longers barrels that 20-22" and chokes for long distances and hunting.

Sorry couldn't watch the vid right away the internet was bad at our hotel but how hard is the recoil for both of them?

It's all good, dude! The recoil isn't too bad on the federal or the Hornady. The NSI 12 pellet is some potent stuff though.

I can't really tell a difference between any of the rounds marked "low recoil." Pellet count and velocity are great indicators of how the recoil will feel. Higher on both and it will be heavier recoil.
