If you find yourself experiencing too much friction between the blades of your secateurs, or they are becoming stuck - this may mean they are too tight.
First, remove the spring from your secateurs.
Using the 8mm socket on your Felco 905, loosen the locking nut and unscrew (also fully removing the small toothed locking gear).
You can now adjust the main toothed nut, turning clockwise to tighten the secateur action / anti-clockwise to loosen.
Hold secateurs open fully, and reattach locking gear. When opened fully and released, blades should overlap between 1/2 - 2/3. This indicates optimal tightness of the secatuers, but can be tailored to your preference.
Ensure the locking nut is tightened fully and reattach spring. Your Felco secateurs are now fully adjusted.

Felco secateurs are machine-tightened which ensures all of the parts are strongly put together. This can mean that the thumb-catch can be a bit tight when they are first taken out of the packaging.
This will resolve itself over time as the oil works its way through the moving parts, but it may be your preference to have this a little looser to make one-handed use easier.
First, remove the spring.
Turn the secateurs over, holding the blades towards your body.
Using the 7mm socket on your Felco 905, turn anti-clockwise to loosen the thumb catch bolt.
Reattach spring, and you are done.

To Sharpen your Felco Secateurs, hold with the blades towards your body as in the thumb-catch adjustment.
Using the angled tungsten sharpener, firmly pull over the blades towards yourself matching the angle of the sharpener to the angle of the blades.
Using the flat honing blade, remove any metal spurs or rough metal by dragging over flat side of cutting blade.

2:00 it feels like when using the. 905 to sharpen my Felcos the edge of the blade hits the top of the V channel and doesn’t really sharpen them. Am I doing this wrong?

Hi @jesusalexisjuarezescalante2522 it is unlikely the spring has an issue, but the main mechanism on the secateurs might be too tight. You should loosen the main nut to acheive a looser secateurs
