Definitely the twin. Having two speakers really helps moving the air They’re all great though. I recently got the twin and it’s the last amplifier I’ll ever need.

Great video Dave. I've gigged with the DR black and blond and the Twin black Tonemasters, in the end I only kept the DR black as it really sounded good with my Tele clean and overdriven, whereas the blond sounded to me like a DR with a blanket over it. The Twin is great, and I have used TRs for years, but it didn't sound as in your face as the DR with my Tele. Thanks again

I have each of these. I think the Deluxe is my favorite (I have not done any firmware updates like the treble cut). I feel like the Deluxe breaks up slightly earlier than the other two and I think I like the breakup and general sound of the 1X12. I like how easy it is to transport the Deluxe and you'll always have plenty of volume with the XLR out to PA. Even without the XLR out, it's pretty darn loud! I found it interesting that you had the bass EQ set low, I've heard people do that on these amps. The cool thing about the Super is that it has proper Alnico pickups as opposed to the light weight ones in the other amps. Thank you! This is a good comparison!

That’s interesting. Over the internet, I liked the sound of the OD on the Super reverb, it just needed some tweaking of the EQ. But in person is a very different thing. Also, in person the Super is going to be up closer to your ear and the Deluxe and Twin will be blasting your legs, which could account for the difference in perception.

Tough one Dave! Love you work. I bought a Twin Reverb Tone Master when they first came out(2020 ? ). It has been a wonderful amp, used everyday. Never had an issue. I love that I can push all the aspects of the amp without getting too loud, if I choose. Or occasionally I can put it on full power and really rattle the house. It is immensely loud on full power. It took me a while to work out how to run pedals through it. I am very curious to hear the Deluxe Reverb TM cranked, and also the Blonde version with the Celestion speaker, with pedals. The never ending tone journey! I think it is a form of psychosis, but a noble journey nonetheless.

All the amps sounded better with the Strat. End of story. The Twin is the winner. The Super sounded somewhat muffled. That being said, all 3 amps chained together is a HUGE game changer. That sounded like a really well recorded concert that was mastered by a genius sound engineer. Don’t argue with me Dave. I bought my own audiophile equipment as a child and I listened to this twice with really great headphones 🎧. Looks like I’ll be getting a Twin also 🙃. 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵❤️

The Twin......I had a tube one in my early gigging days in the 70s with a Les Paul Black Beauty and a wah....that was it for years....eventually I found the sound of the old Twin was...."ouch" and that's not the amp...that's my back speaking.....then I bought the Roland JC 120 and went...ahhhh yes. and it had the best caster set up I've ever seen on an amp. Easy to move around..eazy to pop out the wheels...that Les Paul sounds really great through the Twin...I knew it would

It’s a preference thing. If I had to pick? Twin, then Super. The Twin has the sound that’s in my head. It’s just always going to be the right amp for me. The Super, though.... some really sweet vibe coming out of those 10”’s. I wouldn’t be saddened to have Tone Master Super.

I loved the clean sounds of the Super - it sounded a little bit fuller/compressed to my ears. Kinda like I would imagine a vintage blond bassman would sound (not that I ever played one). For that I'd get the Super and maybe get it split into head and cab and refinished in blond tolex for a great surf rig 😃 - as I haven't got the money for that just yet I'll make do with my Champion 100 which is cool too. As for the dirty sound the Twin blew everything out of the window (literally), it just sounded fantastic to my ears. What a great comparison- thank you 😃

I’m surprised that it came through on the ear buds I’m listening on, but the thing about Supers is that the sound sounds like it’s coming from everywhere, really spacious. The smaller combos sound more narrow focus, like the sound is coming from only straight in front of you.

Never been a fan of Fender amps, Marshalls, yes please, Fender no... Tried a mates Fender "something" a few years ago and was suitably impressed HOWEVER, it still wasnt for me but it did get me away from ONLY Marshalls. Now, my gigging amp is a Peavey ValveKing 100w 2x12.. Absolutely love it! Practice amp is a modelling amp but is very Vox orientated. One day, maybe, I will revisit Fender as I get older LOL

In the end, all these amps need to dial in EQ to adjust for speakers and inherit tones. Also, the P10Rs Aincos I find need breakin time. The 12" in the deluxe is a bit more forgiving as new plus its a 22 watt vs 45 watt. The Ainicos will be brighter than a single 12". Thought SR projected hi gain chords well. Would like to hear more blues/jazz strat neck samples esp in each attenuator mode between Delx and SR.

I'd say the super. But you have to let us hear the clean sound with everything in the middle without distortion on the same guitar. You go to extreme settings such I d never choose myself. So, actually, no opinion at all. Btw i have a Super Twin Reverb '79. (6*6L6) and people call it dull, but I have my own speakers in series and it's damn good tone wise. Thanks for the demo, They have a different sound amongst themselves, but, fender has a different sound overall I couldnt put my finger on, compared to marshall. Fender sounds like a marshall with the guitar tone dialed back a little to me..A different overall sound. Which is fine, many songs that brightness isnt wanted. Now pedals can go back and forth. I would get some earplugs Dave, or at least rolled up tissue in a ball and cram in your ears. You can still hear the amp fine. It knocks down the sound waves that you dont notice as harmful. If your gonna crank it up you need headphone type ear protection. You can still hear the amp fine. Its still loud with the headphone looking ear protectors. Put tissue in your ears and the headphone type ear protectors. Its still loud. It still hurts my ears with all the ear protection and the marshall cranked up and two homemade 1x12 cabs. Demo request for a Crate gt1200h amp head, solid state. Note, dont let Cici plug into that thing or you may not get it back, I dont use a crate cab. Reasons for that. Video request on how you do sound checks indoors and out. Simply

I have always found out a Fender is perfect until 6 for overdrive, after it's like a suffocating cow calling for help because she's drowning in mud (I didn't say "in her own shit", some elegance please). More volume & less gain = more dynamic/control/precision etc. 🤘

Dave, thanks for fun video! BTW, signal flows from the guitar to the amplifier. So: out of the guitar, into & then out of pedals, then into amplifier, and then out of the speaker. Not trying to be mean, just helping to clarify for those times you are describing your signal chain.

Dave, let me start by saying I love what you do thank you. But at 8:50 you said the twin is a little bit too thin? But if I remember correctly earlier in the video you also said you were running the bass on the Twin at zero, middle on 10 and Treble on 8 would that not be a major contributing factor in the sound being a little bit too thin? I would sort of expect it to be thin with that EQ settings. I’m not trying to be clever just asking that’s all.
