FFXIV Yo-kai Event Guide & Reward Showcase - Tips to Farm Quickly!

In this video, I'll show you all of the minions, mounts and weapons available in the Final Fantasy XIV Yo-kai Watch event, and give you some tips on how to farm them more quickly.

Also quick tip: Make a levelsync macro, especially if you're on console. That way you can levelsync by pressing the macro button on your hotbar, which will be much quicker and easier. In your macros, just type "/levelsync" in the first line, and that's it!

I think it also goes with 'general duty key' to join the fates Least thats the one i found a while back

You can also macro dismount to it, so you land > hit 1 button and you're immediately ready to fight :)

Tip: Work on the weapons where you can do fates in higher level zones first. All the low level zones are super farmed by massive zerg trains which can make the grind frustrating. Fates in the higher level zones may take longer to complete but you dont have to compete with 20 BLU mages and speedrun moving from fate to fate. Eventually things will calm down and you can move onto the quicker low level fates.

This is the main problem of this event. You can simply stop trying it as a low level players because all the high levels farm the low level areas like crazy. Good luck keeping up with your ground bound mounts while they fly over your head and do the fates in 1-1.5 Minutes.

This event sucks beginners with mounts that can't fly. They have no shot the fate dissappear in seconds. I find myself SOL every time

I've managed to get all the minions but now have to work on the weapons XD I haven't reached stormblood yet so lord enma will have to wait a bit longer

The minions are the easy part, unfortunately..the legendary medals are supposedly 25% drop chance, which means about ~40 FATEs for each medal, meaning you need to complete about 600 FATEs for all weapons...

@@Jolsn Luckily it seems like the drop rates are massively higher than they say. I got 5 legendary medals in a row and within one night got about 4 weapons done already.

for blu mage you can just enable mighty guard, you make more emnity (gives you gold way easier) and you don't troll to hard with the dps

It is absolute chaos 😂 BLU parties instantly decimating fates, arguments flying thru chat over it, sprouts upset they can't get any hits in before it's over... it's crazy out here.

This is so ridiculous. Whoever thought it is a good idea to limit the zones you can farm the tokens to low and high level only needs a good slap on the back of his head.

He said more "bearable" by also farming relic weapons at the same time. Idk if that counts as more bearable, that just sounds like an even bigger headache imo. Yeah I know 2 birds with 1 stone and all, but I wouldn't call it more bearable.

Since you mentioned you were sure it would come back, it will but it will be a year or two. This has been around at least twice before though the couch was only available the last time. The medals also carry over. When the last one came I had 13 weapons and all 17 yokai. I had medals for 3 more weapons but missed the deadline. I was able to buy 3 more weapons immediately.

Just want to also point out that you shouldnt go in solo. try and get in with a group, especially if they have blue mages, just so you get a half decent chance of getting a silver participation or higher. I'm in OCE and I have blue mages from every corner of the globe (during World Travel stress test if this is read later than DT release) everywhere literally Hydro Pulling left right and centre trying to take kills from other blue mages, leaving everyone else kill-less, and bronze or even no completion.

Spent ages going the fates and barely got a hit in most of the time. People would be flying around everywhere and there would just be me and my chocobo running around. Got the minions and two weapons so far.

I recommend going in a few days from now when it's not quite as busy, that's what I'll do anyways

Try for the stormblood ones, specifically in azim steppes. Mostly its fate boss which wont go down easily and there are so many people doing it (which doesnt take too long). and after its over try to follow the group of players thats heading to the next fates.

Glad you liked it! The watch is only needed for farming the normal medals. For the weapon, you just need to bring the right minion.

I worked on it for 2 hours this morning, i got all the minions and 2 weapons so far. As for BLU, just join a party, from what i was told is your rank in a fate is determined by group emnity. So as long as you do your ranged attack on at least 1 mob you would get gold rating

Heyas I did this event back then when it first came out and second time when they add the new weapons and I got all miniones weapons and mounts I dont think there is anything for veterans to farm for right?

No, only up to ShB jobs still So: PLD, WAR, DRK, GNB WHM, SCH, AST MNK, DRG, NIN, SAM BRD, MCH, DNC BLM, SMN, and RDM

I love the yokai watch as a glamour item, and spent like 35 min trying to get it out of the glamour dresser this morning 😂😢

It took 58 fates to get the warrior weapon... that's a 17% drop rate. I can't imagine doing this 15 more times. I'm out.

Is there nowhere to spend the regular Yo-kai Medals? I can't find anything on it, but I find it a little weird considering I now have over 500 just sitting around after getting all the weapons.

I was getting a LOT of regular medals while farming for the legendary ones, and then realized you don't need to wear the watch to get the legendary ones. I'm still going to save the 150-ish I got in case they add something else in the future.

Only the npc vendor for the minions, is all im seeing, otherwise looks like you can either save em in hopes for something new later on, or just trash em It kinda is a constant thing in 14, especially with end game currencies. One gets obsolete'd, and they gather dust the more you get them

Check your achievements, you can sort by completed achievements with mount rewards and then redeem them, they come with the achievements you get

Achievement items need to be manually claimed. It won’t pop automatically into your inventory.

So the watch gives regular medals when doing fates, and the minion gives legendary medals when doing fates? That's it? It's just fate grinding?

Fates typically are on a timer, and can be worse if a large train of players are grabbing them Just wait around and try and try and join

As someone who has never done this event and doesn't take much time to play FFXIV, I saw this on the feed and was exciting to do it. After running many fates to only receive 2 legendary medals and nothing else after a few hours, i'm over it and even less interested in coming back to the game. 🤷‍♂

Were you farming medals with the right minion/zone combo? I was getting legendary medals pretty much every other FATE. Already managed to get 9 weapons today; will probably get the rest tomorrow or during the weekend.

@@xummoner It's all rng and you seem to have been on the luckier end. I did the sb and hw zones on tuesday and I'd have people join the group and leave as they finished before I got done with even 1 weapons medals. Sometimes 10+ fates without a drop. But people are also way too quick to start whining, the event is on for 2 months, you have plenty of time to farm and it'll be easier in the lowbie zones when the initial zerg of people are done. You don't need to be done with the event in 1-2 days.

You got the the time limit as soon as the fate spawns, then the level sync to remove most of your skills, throw in the competitive nature of the rankings, and finally salt in the wound the amount you need vs the amount they reward you I just want to have a chat with the devs that made these fates, and keep making them the main gimmick...

If your rare items aren't currently obtainable in the game they kinda lose all value, even to other collectors etc. It's like somebody flexing that they have an item from back when ARR was current, I don't think anybody cares.
