💜💜💜 Newly diagnosed with fibromyalgia, last week and it's nice to hear via your kind words, that I'm not going crazy and that this condition IS real. Thank you kindly.

You definitely are NOT crazy and it's totally real. It's not in your head and you're not making it up. I hear that so many times in my fibro video comments, so please know you're not alone in feeling that way, it's very common. Sending you lots of love Doris, take care and be kind to yourself. :)

Hi Andrea. Loved the talk, your honesty and authenticity too.Diagnosis of fibro for 11years , takes lot of time to accept and cope with it daily. The positive mindset is so important as well as pacing ourselves throughout the day. It’s sad that people can be rude in comments, so I understand you don’t want to make fibro- video’s anymore. People like me who follow you because we like you the way you are will read between the lines how you are coping! Wish you lots of positivity and joy with teaching, writing, vlogging and living! Lots of positive healing vibes to you and everyone!🤗🌺🌺🌺greetings from France 🇫🇷

💜💜💜💜 I am one of those who recently found you, after just being diagnosed. Thank you for not only eloquently sharing your experience, but also for showing that although it is a part of you, it is only one part. That is the example I need right now. 💜

Thank you so much for this comment, it really means a lot. It's been a long road for me to feel like fibro hasn't taken over my life but it's been worth the work to get here. Thanks for watching and sticking around. :)

Thanks for watching Rebecca! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I have to focus on my whole life, if I only focus on the illness I'll be so miserable. I've definitely made that mistake in the past.

just got diagnosed yesterday after what is now a four day flare up that has been the most mind numbing experience i’ve ever had. i’m now thinking of a total career change that will allow me to work from home majority of the time bc like you i can’t afford to not have a full time job. this definitely sucks like you said, but it’s nice to know that there are so many people who get it.
@AndreaJSeverson2 жыл бұрын
It's so hard managing this condition alongside a full time job. I'm slowly making changes because it's been getting harder for me as well. I did so much better when I worked from home full time. Hope you can get a remote work situation sorted out soon! Thanks for watching. :)

Thank you for sharing your experience 💜 I recently got diagnosed and can completely relate to you. I also have Hashimotos and couldn’t understand why I haven’t been feeling better. It can feel lonely at times when no one understands what you are going through. I’m sorry for any rude comments, you don’t deserve that. This has been so helpful 😊

Thank you for this comment Josi, I really appreciate it. I totally understand the loneliness the diagnosis can lead to, especially when balancing fibro with other conditions. You're always welcome here. :)

💜 Totally understand the burnout. Feeling it bad here lately. You are such a well spoken person…you can tell you’re a writer. Thx for sharing. I also was told to lose weight so I lost 76 pounds and felt no better. Like you said fibro is different for everyone. 😉💜

Thank you for this comment and for watching the video! It's a shame that losing the weight didn't give you any relief, that had to be frustrating. It really shows how this condition really isn't about weight but about so many other factors. And I'm so relieved I came across as well spoken lol! This video was so hard to edit because I basically rambled for an hour and then had to cut it down! Thank you so much for watching!

Teaching can be such a double edged sword when you have fibro. On the one hand, the flexible schedule is great, on the other hand teaching is far more physically demanding than people realize. Thanks for watching Sherie!

you shame me...your videos have been a HUGE comfort to me. i am not into youtube and never subscribed...i corrected that! i understand your frustration of negative comments. i know it doesn't particularly help, but i am super skinny and an "energizer bunny" type, yet i still have fibro and was looking for YOU to help me feel like i wasn't alone. you were brave enough to open up...there will always be nasties. it's them...not you. thanks for your information/being open! 💜💜💜

Aww, thank you for your kind words! They mean so much. Viewers like you are why I continue to share my experience. The nasties and trolls will always be there but genuine people like you make it worth it. Thank you so much Melanie! :)

I subscribed to your channel on the Fibromyalgia flare. I can relate to you. I’m definitely blessed myself because I’m on disability and live in low income housing. Otherwise I would have to work as well. My fibromyalgia isn’t as often as it used to be. I haven’t watched any of your other videos because I was only interested in the fibromyalgia ones and you do such an amazing job on it so thank you very much for sharing your story.

Thank you for subscribing, I hope you'll check out some of my vlogs. I do talk about fibromyalgia occasionally in those, as it's part of my life. I just don't really do dedicated videos on the subject anymore.

I'm sorry about your condition. Your resilience and hard work is hugely inspirational. I get neck pain from time to time from an accident I had back in 2016 so I understand how meddlesome the pain can be. Keep fighting and keep smiling Andrea :) I have full faith in your ability. P.S I aim to buy your book soon too.

Hi! I just found your channel today, and then spotted that you're also an author with Fibro, which is so cool (tho, Fibro sucks). it's just neat to find another author with it, so I am definitely subscribing. I was diagnosed about 5 years ago (what is time?) 💜

I am now 34 years. I had some GERD/heartburn in the evening, so in October I asked for an upper GI and found esophagitis, gastritis, H. Pylori, Hiatal Hernia, some stomach bleeding, and in the duodenum "the neurotransmitters are all messed up." Sleep depends on my level of pain. My GI took me off every supplement and pain meds. This has aged me 10 years in 1 month. The GI doc thinks with 6+ months time and lots of physical therapy and hydrotherapy that can bridge to realigning the neurotransmitters which he thinks will significantly reduce the hypersensitivity. Anyone else have something similar?
