I have two fig trees at home but since it’s nearing fall I don’t think they have anymore figs left, next year I will definitely attempt this recipe 😭😭 but I actually wanted to try the fig leaf ice cream recipe first cause it sounds very interesting and unique

I come from a place where figs aren't really popular So it is quite surprising to see that fig pies exist! The way you make em looks really good 😮 Unrelated but have you ever tried making matcha cookies? 🍪

Oh man, the salt😂😅 My internal gasp matched exactly with your's haha. I'm glad you noticed immediately and not after the pie was done baking! It looks delicious😋 Figs aren't very common where I live, and even when they're being sold at the grocers, they tend to be a bit bland.😅 I'd love to try properly ripe figs someday! (+You being excited about figs in the subtitles was v sweet!❤)

Thank you! Im so glad they help you!! Figs are really good and one of my favorites! They taste very jam-like for me with a mix of berry and honey? But if theyre not ripe, they can be firm and pretty bland.

Man I felt that gasp with the salt. I’ve done that before. The best way to fix it is to add more sugar and acid to help bring balance (which you did here. I would have added a tsp more). But it still turned out great! And hey, as a wise man once said “there are no mistakes, just happy little accidents” :)
@joshuacooksthendrawsАй бұрын

I live in northern Sweden, and here I pay per fig, like if I ever buy some, it's at the most 5 or so 😅 so this pie would be very expensive. I can get dried ones cheaper but, yeah.. no. 😂
