Nathaniel Cole some coaches do this just to hype up the fighter and I know it doesn’t sound useful, but coaches do this all the time for example there’s that one infamous coach who tells there fighter to fuck up their opponent and just screams at the fighter, but it builds hope and pumps up the fighter

I have a question before I start trying intermitent fasting. Do you take BCAA's or something before your first training in the morning? BTW I usually cut 7-8% of waterweight (From 155 to 145) No problem... aren't you cutting too little waterweight? or am I cutting a lot? Love your videos, your fight was great!

Great Series. Does crossfit mixes well with muay thai ? i have a crossfit gym right behind where i live, i just feel it might muscle me up in a too heavy way that wouldn't be very fit for Muay thaï, and do you know if crossfit is harmful on the long run ? I mean for the joints and such

hmm I never tried crossfire actually! im sure it will help, any sort of strength training helps. I would say MMA specific training is better though

Awesome video! I hope you do more of that leading up to you fight and then your actual fight and maybe break that video down as well. I am always curious to see how different fighters go through fight camp. Their training, diets, and strength training as the weeks go. Also so right now due to your fasting do you eat as much or anything you want at 2pm and again at 10pm? Could someone use the same principles but maybe at 2 different times as long as it was 8 hours apart?

Yes that is what intermittent fasting does, allows you to eat whatver you want and however much. But I think i've hit my plateau and I won't lose any more (lower than 150) with the way im eating so I will need to eat cleaner and count calories to drop more. And yes I plan to post the fight, win or lose!

hmm I would say my style varies depending on who im fighting/sparring. I am not sure which sparring videos you are referring to but yeah sparring could mean im practicing a specific skill.

I drink lots of distilled water a week or so and then just sauna, no epson bath or anything but i should try it! Good luck on your tourney!

Can you do a video of what you eat after your weigh inn? Id love some advice as i I fought last week i got the win but felt quite sluggish and i think it could be because of what i ate the day before the fight after my weigh inn. I was eatting everything and anything and felt bloated and was low on energy during my fight.

hmm I try to eat lots of vegetables and a good amount of protein. also rehydrate with a lot of water!

I like where this channel is going! Great content! How much do you weigh when you step into the cage? The featherweights here in Belgium mostly walk around at 160 as well.

haha! I am a chef at a restaurant part time. So its pretty physically active. Im either cutting up live lobster and crab or cutting up vegetables :P

walk around is 160 yes. im gradually doing it over a long period so it isnt as bad. ive been 150 for a while now and im quite use to it

Fred was out of gas. Chen, you have the same problem I do - you are susceptible to the overhand right, especially when you are in southpaw. I've been trying to fix it forever with mixed results.

Awesome work as always! I have a few questions, if you don't mind. #1 I assume this is a Team Practice? If so does the Team Practice have a Program Outline? Referring to-if the volumes and intensities are being managed? Or does the coach auto-regulate, based upon your subjective readiness/appearance. I'm sure we might find out more in future Episodes, but will the volume or intensity, of your training, change compared to this Episode? #2 In regards to your fitness; do you typically enter a maintenance phase, as soon as you're in Camp? Or when you get word that you might have a Fight scheduled? Does your Endurance Training enter a maintenance phase as well? Do you tell your Coach about your General Fitness Training off the Mat? Or do you have a separate S & C coach managing this aspect?

When i find out i have a match i generally begin redeveloping my aerobic system and long sessions , and closer to fight time maybe a month out il focus on all anaerobic training and short sessions
