Yep, good ole Brucey has been beat by none other than his biggest rival. Somehow our favorite ever smiling big bad Joker has come out on top of the money game. How? PTSD being one of the many things a psychopath is immune to. They are born that way and it it is always part who they are. Sociopaths have similar traits in certain areas but completely difones in others. Unlike psychopaths, society and traumatic life e experiences turn them into what they are and they are able to experience PTSD, often to a greater degree and for longer periods of time than a normal person. The Joker was a psychopath and did not possess the capacity yo experience PTSD. And if my theory were to be correct his psychological makep would've made him perfect for his job in the millitar. Lack of empsthy, high I.Q. ( Psychopaths have higher I.Q.s on average), the ability to always be one step ahead, etc....

Here’s my Joker theory: When the mob guys insult Joker’s suit, calling it cheap, he corrects them and says, “you oughta know, you bought it.” However, later in the film when the Joker is ‘captured’ the audience is told that the suit was custom made, with no tags to identify where he got it from. Of course, Joker could’ve paid someone to make it for him without any tags, but I like to think that he strolled into Joann and used the mobster’s money to buy the most expensive fabrics they had, then spent hours making the suit himself. Imagine the Joker sitting on the floor with fabric all around him, frustrated as he tries to get the thread through the eye of the needle.

based on what you said, and with all the evidence laid out, I'd say it more likely his character kept most of the money, and the VAST majority of the stacks shown in the scene were prop cash. Would help explain how it was assembled so fast as well- so much prop cash acquired in bulk would likely be delivered and packaged in large bricks which would be a lot easier to assemble than take out loose stacks from 4000 duffle bags lol. Plus prop cash would burn better.

I was thinking about the Joker's line, "Do I look like a guy with a plan?", and how that seems to contradict the meticulous level of, well, planning that it had to have taken to pull off all of his activities, and I realized that he's not necessarily lying. The difference is between "plan" as a noun, and "to plan" as a verb. As this video and many others demonstrate, there is no question that the Joker must have planned extensively for everything to go off with such precision. However that's not the same as "having a plan", in the sense of having a specific objective or achievement one is setting out to accomplish. Now I recognize there's a bit of splitting-hairs going on, but I think the distinction, at least from the Joker's perspective, makes sense. He has no ultimate ambition, not for power, not for money, not for any of the usual pursuits that a criminal would be seeking. He describes himself as a dog chasing cars, implying it's all about the process, the journey, not the destination. Every scheme and heist he performs is part of a message, a message about chaos, the inherent corruption of human nature, the blurred lines between lawbreakers and law enforcers. Had he not been captured by Batman (or more accurately, had the actor not tragically passed), it's safe to assume that he would have continued in that same chaos, building upon his performance, chasing cars indefinitely with no final objective in sight. And in that way, I would say that the Joker *plans*, but does not *have a plan*. A subtle distinction, but I think it applies.

Funny that this video was suggested to me 2 years after its creation. And especially since I started being subscribed to Food theory first. Lol . Great video! Love Ledger's version of the Joker. Many different theories regarding this character. My favorite theory is that Joker was a former US special ops soldier/operative who turned against society, which, also supports your theory. Someone who would know about maintaining a tactical advantage and working within time sensitive restrictions and reactions.

I think your calculations are pretty decent. People aren't used to seeing large amounts of cash, but I used to work for Brinks, and a few times saw into the count room, one of the tables (about a standard kitchen table size so like 7-8ft x 3-4ft) was covered in bills (20s) almost about 18 inchs tall...I asked how much was sitting there one of the counters withhout hesitation, glanced and was like probably over 20 million.....

What do you think the real reason he burned all that cash was? More money isn't necessarily better because past a certain point it doesn't actually make life any easier, especially if you're not concerned with flaunting status or luxury. Past that point, it becomes a headache, especially if you have to launder it so you can pay taxes. It's far easier to just get rid of it and you might as well make a point at the same time.

Yes, In comics and cartoon its somewhat of a running gag that the Joker is afraid of nothing, except the IRS. Considering this is comic land and they also have to get Taxes from Lex frigging Luther and other assorted super rich super criminals its somewhat understandable. By the way, the Joker is also a frikking Patriot. As in antagonises the Red Skull in a crossover over it.
