What are the chances that you will do commentary on some of the more classic Final Fantasy games? FFVIII is my favorite, mainly because it was my first RPG much like FFX was your first.

I found in my last playthrough up to this point that resetting data means you have to hire them again. Not the Aurochs, other than Wakka, but other blitzers you might want. I'm in Gagazet, and have all Reels. I just need to do the last league for the Sigil. Tip: wait until the last game of the league, and save. Save after every game ideally, but save there especially. Fight a few battles with Wakka in your party, have him do something. Then play the last game of the league, and have it move forward. If the prize isn't the Sigil, reset and fight more battles. Play the match again and see the next prize. I didn't realize that this was a great strategy until now.

Originally, I had Brother + Tidus and the other aurochs, and periodically bought out the Al Bhed Psychesas time went on.

When you reset data, it also restarts your roster back to the original aurochs. So be careful when resetting prizes. Reset data til you have the desired prizes THEN sign your dream team

I also definitely recommend recruiting Jumal as a goalie, he can be found at the Luca square. He got 14 CA and already knows the super goalie technique.

Yay, you picked my dream team! Tidus-Wedge-Brother-Ropp-Zalitz-Jumal. Also wanted to point out that once you get on the airship, you can recruit Rin as a blitzer. He's good as a defensive player, and has good passing. Brother is still better, though. Using a blitzball like World Champion is kinda crazy...can you imagine playing a match with that ball? No way it would be legal, lol.

I love blitzball as a result of this actually. I have been using the Aurochs in my current game, and I don't think I've lost more than one game. It's interesting to think up strategies for how to beat each team.

If (like me) you are still watching/using this walkthrough in 2018 because it's SO good, please bear in mind that "Reset Data" resets the entire team back to default and you'll end up with the original Aurochs team every time you do it. This is not a big problem as you can sign other players again before you play your next league/tournament, however Durren (the Blitzball player found close to the rusty sword who disappears after travelling to Sin for the first time) will also reset and potentially disappear from the game, becoming entirely unavailable even though you had signed him before!

If you have jecht shot, it is just a laugh, all you need to do is get jecht shot and pass with tidus

@@Roksana-gy1ek No "just" about it, the RNG can screw you every way, including having the other guy get a perfect 1.5 to steal the ball when you selected Jecht but had to go through one, costing you your 120 hp and the game. I'm saying this as someone that usually wins. These "just" comments tick me off, "just" be honest.

Wedge turns into an amazing defender, when your team can beast the league its great taking the ball off them in defence then moving up to score from distance :)

That locker gave me the *Mercury Crest.* However, the Venus Crest and Sigil I had obtained earlier both worked for Rikku's Godhand on my Switch version. Weird.

AwesomeBeedrill all of the names on the switch version are mixed up apart from the sun crest and sigil for Tidus but the locations for each person still hold their item needed to upgrade their weapon just named wrong.

@@smurfybizzle5024 Not named wrong. The Switch version uses the names that the JP version uses. it was NA/EU languages that switched the names around. Do some research first before saying it's wrong. Both names are correct.

When you press Reset-Data do you lose the people you have assigned? Because when I reset the data for blitzball I lost all the players I signed and I had to go and re-sign the players I lost.

I customized a break hp weapon for Tidus with evade + counter, first strike and double AP, pretty close to Caladbolg but it's called Excalibur and it looks like the Brotherhood

Replaying this in 2022 and my crests and sigils are all screwed up. My mercury Sigil has vanished from my inventory after I opened the Luca locker twice. Jupiter Sigil no longer belongs to wakka, it’s weird. Can’t unlock world champion as there’s no other options to get the crest or Sigil. Has anyone else had this issue replaying? I’m replaying on the Xbox game pass version.

Playing FFX Remaster on PC and just got onto the Airship after the Home invasion on Bikanel... Wakka and Brother are both recruitable! I thought I could only get Wakka after getting the airship in Zanarkand! Turns out first recruit opportunity is after Bikanel Invasion! Hope this is new info for some.

Mine are all named different. I’m on HD remaster on Xbox. Sun and Moon were the same but I’m getting Mercury for Wakka, Saturn for Auron, Venus tor Rikku etc.

I kinda always grind blitzball team to level 99 in every 100% playthrough I do. The Aurochs really fall off at higher levels. I always keep them until it’s hard to win late 50s, but then since I have no choice but to replace them, I go for the best players at level 99, Wakka (I know Vilucha or Larbeight are better), Tidus, Mifurey, Ropp and Kulukan in defence, Nimrook in goal. Vilucha or Larbeight and Kiyuri for reserves

I found a dumb exploit. It was noted in an early walkthrough for Luca Goers. Get 1 point, and hide in your own goal. They usually won't follow you. I have Status Reels, and need encounters to get Auroch Reels. I have been avoiding this for a while now. It's not as bad with his first recommended strategy.

There's a technique call nap shot. Nap Shot: SH + 3. If the goalkeeper touches the ball, 30% chance of inflicting Sleep. Nap Shot 2: SH + 5. 70% chance of inflicting sleep. Nap Shot 3: SH + 7. Inflict sleep 100%.

Just the amount of time you have to put in just for that sigill is mind blowing. Blitzball was not particularly fun so just to force that down your throat is just pure torture. Of course if you play on an emulator you can save edit that the first price is Jupiter sigill. Pretty awesome

I would say Lulu's because you have to dodge 200 lightning bolts in a row. One time I got to 160 and had a lapse in concentration and got hit lol. But Wakkas can be tedious if you dislike blitzball.
