I like the part about not worrying about if company already has a photographer, you could be their next one. Great content.

One other thing that’s really helpful is learning how to google - sounds obvious but using different google search functions like the - / * ‘ can make the difference between finding the info you’re looking for!

You are without doubt the most infectious person (and I mean that in the most positive way possible) I've ever run across. If I'd had your personality when I was a food pohotographer, I'd have become a millionaire.

Speaking as a food photographer, who does commercial photoshoots about 5 years, I'm sure that simply searching companies and pitching yourself not gonna working Because I did the same when I was at the starts of my way - and conversion rate between number of all companies I emailed and number of I worked with was about 0,5% BUT! Your purposefulness and focus on searching can help you get some luck to be at the right place at right time! And special advise from me: just ask restaurants/other food brands for do small photoshoots for your blog in instagram/tic tok/etc. and mark that companies so you make portfolio of REAL clients. That's the difference between shooting food at home and shooting food in restaurant! Clients want to see real dishes in real restaurants in your porfolio, not just homemade stuff. Sorry for my english :3

Thanks for this great content! Where can I find those email templates that you mentioned! I am in a different niche, are the templates generic to work with any niche?

Another great video! I often pitch my services, especially now that I am trying to do this full time and not as a side hustle. But sometimes I don't know who to send my pitch to or how to approach the email and I worry if my pitch was poor. I also set up a separate food photography website because companies used to want me to post the content on my IG too, and I am trying to separate my two "identities" so that my IG is not just a bunch of ads. I would love if you did a video about pitching to magazines specifically! That would be incredibly helpful. I have only had a couple mag pieces published but it is an area that I really want to focus on.

I am such a shy person. Contacting and actually speak to a real person is so intimidating. I do stumble a. Lot. So I made a text to go through. But this looks so not cool. So I and them en email. I do not find the right words at all. Whenever I get a NO, my self esteem decreases. I would be so much more like you!!!

Prcatice, practice, practice! Push yourself beyond what you think you can do. Take a public speaking class or seminar. Stand in front of a mirror and practice. Use family and friends to help and critique you (as long as they can be positively constructive). Be positive and believe in yourself! If your photography skills are good, focus on those skills.

How do you contact brands which are under an umbrella company, that owns many brands?
@TheBiteShot3 жыл бұрын
Usually those (like a Procter and Gamble) will always work with an agency or multiple agencies for creative. If those are the kinds of brands you want to work with, then knocking on the doors of advertising agencies will be a more beneficial path.
