Love watching your videos Chris. I’m up in Michigan for the holiday weekend and I’ve already sliced my leg open with an axe, but I’ve found -500 mesh gold and a lot of it for only a few pans. Tomorrow morning before we leave I’m gonna go over to where I saw a load of black sand right on the bank. Can’t wait to see you process more out of this area and we get to see the results!

As always, love the viddy! Would you possibly do a video comparing various different DIY matting options to sluice with from a hardware store? And also, I have a question. Is expanded mesh necessary when sluicing, if so, what is it’s purpose?
@VoGusProspecting4 жыл бұрын
You need mesh because it creates friction and protects the moss so nothing gets blown out.

So if the gold is being split out to the edges from the bedrock in the middle how come you started parallel with the end of the rock and went up a bit? Wouldn't the pressure push it out on a v and be slightly down a bit?
@VoGusProspecting4 жыл бұрын
The Gold isn't being split both ways. All that's happening is that the water is eroding the bank and leaving the gold that was in the soil behind.
@trevdyer1734 жыл бұрын
@@VoGusProspecting this stuff confuses the crap outta me i thought that it would have been Alluvial and deposited as the as the water pressure slowed as it spread back out after the rock. I guess there is one simple method (demonstrated time and time again in your vids) TEST PAN around where you find the gold to see where exactly its depositing. Cant wait for the next installment with the high banker
@jayalaska48064 жыл бұрын
That's pretty good for how little material you ran, especially since you were testing spots and not staying on the bedrock
