FYI, there is no zinc in an American quarter! A post 1965 quarter is copper-nickel clad copper. Also most coin sorting machine reject the silver and foreign coins.

Yes I misspoke on the zinc part, and yes most public coin sorters reject them. Not all tho, and they aren't perfect. Thanks for the comment. :)

What bank do you frequent that has a free coin counter inside the lobby? I have never seen that. I reside in Columbus OH

Check with smallet local banks and credit unions in your area.

Score is a score and when i doubt silver will hit 200$ oz nice to think that though, still something to stack for later. Good quick hunt liked it very much.

Really nice hunt and I am still working on getting comfortable with asking the tellers at the bank and people at other places for these items. It is just something I have to get over and move on. Dude I didn't know either... I watched the Half Dolla dudes go into stores on their videos and purchase coins from coin sorters and find all kinds of shit. This is my first time, definitely doing it again.
