Make sure to gl-ubscribe if you enjoyed this part 2 and let us know if you want to see us dive into Season 2 of Glee! I.e. Sue and Figgins The thing is, they left it intentionally vague. The "Sue has her suit on" is also just a bit that she is literally always wearing her suit, even late in season 1 she's wearing her suit in bed while depressed when Will stops by. If later on they retcon it then I'll adjust but it is not wrong to interpret her as having SA'd Figgins. Even Kevin McHale in the Here's What You Really Missed Podcast refers to the scene as "date r*pe" and there's no reason to think Sue wouldn't do this in universe as she is a bad, bad person and the writers play with controversial stuff frequently.

Coming from an actual person in high school show choir in northeast ohio, its so funny to me that the judges at regionals just sit and a room and discuss. In real life, the judges have VERY in-depth scoring sheets, with categories about dance, vocals, volume, professionalism, annunciation, etc etc. the judges are spaced out between the auditorium at tables with desk lamps and recorders, and are NOT allowed to talk to each other at all. I kind of get the necessity of getting all the judges together for sue's character, but if score sheets were used, vocal adrenaline wouldve still won, and sue could've gotten her character development on her own
@StrwbrrySunfwr6 ай бұрын
@user-xr7ci8tf3e noo 😭😭 they are all music teachers and show choir directors themselves usually, so that their scoring is accurate. One time this past year though, we had this very strange scorer girl who gave horrible critiques, started singing along at points to our songs on her recording (they all give feedback you can listen to after), and told us that our song and dance should be more "suggestive" (i cant say what song for privacy of course, but wtf) so that was ig our sandy-shue moment
@demetriam24086 ай бұрын
We have something similar for theater competitions. You're not allowed to say your school name, the judges don't interact. The scoring sheets have your overall points (what the judge scored you out of five in several categories) and your place out of four (compared to the other scenes the judge watched) you do three rounds with three different judges and a variety of different scenes. They tally up your points and what place you got (because some judges are harsher, they want to see how good you do relative to how the judge judges others). Those with the highest points and placements in each category (there's six, classic, contemporary, musical, pantomime, dramatic monologue and comedic monologue) go to showcase. You get three judges again and a similar scoring system. Showcase is for state competitions though, they usually don't have them for something like the Shakespeare festival.

I believe they left it intentionally vague and either reading is technically correct. W to Burt when he stood up for Kurt against Fin. My own mum dated a guy who has quite a unstable son. The kid freaking tried to choke me to death when I was trying to be friends with him. After that I never saw my mum's boyfriend again. But she's now happily together with someone else for the last few years and going strong. So yeah. Stand up for your kids. They trust you to be there for them. And it's better to be single with a happy alive kid then in a relationship with a sad or dead kid.
@vvgirl61736 ай бұрын
Just want to clarify what happened with the ex's son. I was at his place, it was late at night. Our parents were in another room. I remember asking what he wanted to play and such. I saw he played a scooby doo game on his ds so i tried it out and enjoyed it and wanted to express that I enjoyed it too. To give us common ground and such. As a kid I made an active effort to be friendly and make friends. Next thing I knew his hands were wrapped around my neck. He was shorter than me, being a bit younger so he was pushing up with his arms that made my head tilt up. I remember struggling to breathe and trying to get his hands off me. And I think I called out to my mum between gasps because before I knew it my mum was there to help get him off me. Now, this kid. He loved his mum, so he was pretty upset about his parents not being together and having my mum and me in the picture. But he was also a privileged rich white kid (he has a electric quad bike and a tv in every room on the house). And I a half chinese girl who isn't even close to rich, who also loved my dad and upset that my parents weren't together. Was not upset over my mum having a bf and was friendly both to the kid and his dad. So the kid had no right to strangle me. I heard many years later that he is still not mentally stable, but I don't remember exactly what he has gotten himself into or what he did.

literally every day since this video was released, I’ve woken up with it on autoplay, so I finally watched it this morning and now I’ve spent 6 hours in one day watching both parts

im pretty sure it's shown later on in an episode that Sue didn't rape Figans and just immediately takes the photo as soon as he passes out in bed. So drugging and blackmailing yes, rape no.

@@cambricjimenez4882eh i don't think he's lying. To be fair, Glee is a confusing show with its plot points so it's understandable someone would miss something.

@@tomasroma2333i feel like it also somehow makes sense that Sue would probably do it in an Adidas track suit so I would also get confused if I haven’t seen this show 5 times

@@cambricjimenez4882Principle Figgins refers to the incident as a "sex tyrst" so he himself believes that they did sleep together, which is just as reprehensible. The show is making it very clear that it was vague lmao.

Ken actually had a great story line, it just wasn’t for teenagers. He was a bit too weird so he had a hard time finding meaningful connections in people. He put to much trust into the wrong people and got screwed over. Instead of writing him out, they should have had him step down from Coach of the football team and let him teach woodshop or something, and kept him around as another faculty supporter for the club. But hey 🤷♀️

So Sue never actually took advantage of Figgins, she just took the picture to blackmail him which isn't great.

It must be insane to be a normal student in Glee seeing all of these things going on around them. Also I appreciate how despite it would be easier to just make this a basic reaction with tallies, but you take the time to make it shine with your editing and commentary that is so relevant and topical.

that slow version of poker face is my favorite thing that came from glee. I also loved the run, Joey, run cover so much. but I actually do like musicals and you said you really don't care much for them or listened to many at all. So different strokes for different folks lol, but it lowkey hurt to hear how much you hated both. I still loved the video.

I don’t think people realise that Glee wasn’t the one to start that kind of Poker Face cover; GAGA WAS! She sung Poker Face live like that before Glee did
