Sometimes they don't talk! they just bombard you with flattery and oddities and questions. The last date two days ago tried to get me to drink his coffee when I had ordered tea. No, I don't want to drink from your cup and also I'm not mixing your coffee flavour with my tea flavour.....smh....

Some good questions to slip into conversations during early dates: 1. What are your goals? What's your end game with us (partnership/ marriage)? 2. Do you have any kids - and what are their age? How involved are you with them? Do you have any major responsibilities? 3. Tell him what you're looking for/ask how he feels about it. 4. How long ago was his last relationship? Are you ready to start a new one? (To less likely be his rebound woman). 5. What are your morals, beliefs, interests? 6. How well are you with communication? (Listening and expressing) Are you easily frustrated or angry? 7. What do you think a good man is? 8. What's something you're working on to be the best version of yourself? (such as working on your impatience, procrastination, fitness level, building on finances, anger management etc). 9. What are you afraid to lose? (a way to see what's on his mind daily, are they material things, or people?) 10. What can't you live without? (very telling of his character).

You must check everything and everybody at the door. When a man is interested in me, I go to the Lord about him first before I go on a date with him, I ask the Lord who is this before me, show me they intentions and spirit.

Once again..Uncle Tony Is absolutely correct. But. Since watching these gems 💎 , I'm more on point.. I went on a first date.. I met him at the restaurant. I didn't allow him to pick me up or know where I live . When I got to the restaurant, he was irritated. I asked what was wrong. This man said "I find it funny you didn't allow me to pick you up. What you have something to hide ? I use to be a cop, you know how easy it is for me to find out where you live " He also said " if you're dating other guys, you need to cut them off and focus on just me " Ya'll when that date was over, I was so done with him. His aura was so off. Thank goodness I never told him my last name etc . Uncle Tony be on POINT .

@Priscilla I had to reject a man two days ago. In-person, face to face. Now, on the surface, he seemed like a nice man but we literally had nothing in common. And some of his views and the language that he used was triggering for me. I'm in therapy so I work a bit harder at how I treat people trying to balance my safety and integrity with their safety and integrity. I felt safe enough to tell him to his face that I felt little to no connection emotionally to him at all and I didn't see that changing and I didn't think it was fair to him to be with someone who didn't like him as much as he liked them. I said you should be free to date other women. Then he asked me if I was a jealous person. smh. To be fair I felt a bit like tony said "48 hours" he cornered me in the conversation asking how I really felt about "us"? And I just lost patience and thought if you don't say this now that there is little to no connection, you are leading him up or down the garden path. Lol! he was very upset and I went home and slept like a log. Woke up to him asking for a second chance the next morning. I mean he was an attractive man to me and if I was looking for a fling fair enough but not a life partner. A lot of men just want a woman/ women so that they don't have to be alone but they have no concept of how to make a relationship work or even how to make life work. They need to go on a mentorship course indeed. us women are sometimes no better.
@CarmenLifeCoach3 жыл бұрын
The best thing you can do on a date is observe and let the other person be who they truly are. If you make the mistake of letting them know beforehand all your likes and dislikes, you may end up in a few months puzzled by this person's real character, wondering why did they change, how can they be so different now from the beginning. The answer is they didn't change, they just presented you with their best representative based on the treasure map you drew for them, they knew exactly what to do and not do to get you, then once they had you, they reverted to their real persona. Don't play yourself like this, the whole point is to meet someone who genuinely deep down is the one you are dreaming of, NOT to find a good actor !

Good advice! I've found it takes at least 90 days for anything they've been hiding to show up, so take it slow.

Hopefully, you'll take the time to reply Mr Gaskins. I find the question, "How long have you been single?" off putting. I have been in situations where men literally follow up with "Are you crazy? You must be crazy huh? Or What did you do to him to make him leave?" My question is why focus on how long a person has been single versus making sure they are single and not lying to you about it? I try to focus on the fact the person is available and not judging them for their past relationships. I hope I'm making sense.

because people who focus on the past relationships of the person that they are trying to date are insecure. This question doesn't bother me. I've been single for a long time because I've been working on myself and a lot of men have said that to me and I find that an acceptable answer. Now if they start insinuating that there is something wrong with you on the first date...nah cut them off. The last guy I dated said that I was stubborn so I cut him off. He actually said I was stubborn for telling him I had little to no emotional connection to him. If you know your own mind and your own identity then allegedly you are stubborn.....boy bye.
